Summary periAzhwAr composes the following pAsurams with a mother's attitude. Having brought up his daughter with love and affection, he intends to marry her off to someone spending all his wealth. Alas, his daughter has other plans. She is infatuated with love for Krishna and doesn't mind leaving her mother. The intense love for God is to be regarded as true bakti.

Summary A mother is distraught after Krishna elopes with her fond daughter, leaving her alone. She is concerned about her daughter's whereabouts and how she would be treated by Krishna and her in-laws, after wedding, at the new place. Though the mother is aware that it is the Lord himself who has abducted her daughter, she is disheartened by the fact that she can not stay with her anymore.

Summary Hanuman sees Sita devi in captivity. Since She has not seen Hanuman before and therefore had doubts about his intentions, Hanuman brings to Her memory accurately various past incidents which involved Rama and Her together and with others. Finally he hands over a ring worn by Rama, thus making Her immensely joyful and dispels all Her doubts.
