mahiṣyā purañjanyā vipralabdhaḥ purañjanaḥ sarvayā prakṛtyā

jñānādirūpayā vañcitaḥ tyājitaḥ sannecchan tadicchayaivetyarthaḥ .

anukaroti taddharmātmanyadhyasyati . atra jīvasya śaktimattāyāṃ

parābhidhyānāttu tirohitaṃ tato hyasya bandhaviparyayāvityetatsūtram

apyanusandheyam .. śrīnāradaḥ prācīnabarhiṣam ..26..

pūrvoktamevārthaṃ vyañjayituṃ svasmai svayaṃ prakāśa ityuktam .

tathābhūtatvaṃ ca vilakṣaṇa ityādyuktapadya eva svadṛgityanena vyaktam

asti . tatra prakāśastāvadguṇadravyabhedena dvividhaḥ . prathamo

nijāśrayasya sphūrtirūpaḥ . dvitīyaḥ svaparasphūrtinidānaṃ vastuviśeṣaḥ .

tatrātmano dravyatvādayameva gṛhyate . yathā dīpaścakṣuḥ prakāśayan

svarūpasphūrtiṃ svayameva karoti na tu ghaṭādiprakāśavattadādi

sākṣepaḥ . tasmādayaṃ svayaṃ prakāśaḥ . tathāpi svaṃ prati na prakāśate

yata eva jaḍa ityucyate . tasmāttu svaṃ paraṃ ca prakāśayan svātmānaṃ prati

prakāśamānatvātsvasmai svayaṃ prakāśaḥ . yata eva cidrūpa ucyate . tad

uktamanyairapi . svayaṃ prakāśatvaṃ svavyavahāre parānapekṣatvāt

avedyatve satyaparokṣavyavahārayogyatvaṃ ceti .tatra pūrvatra

svasmaipadamapekṣyamuttaratra tu spaṣṭārtham . ataḥ svadṛksvasmai

svayaṃ prakāśa ityarthaḥ . na cāsau paramātmaprakāśyatve ghaṭavatpara

prakāśyaḥ paramātmanastatparamasvarūpatvena paraprakāśyatvābhāvāt .

evamevāha dvābhyām .

mamāṅga māyā guṇamayyanekadhā

vikalpabuddhīśca guṇairvidhatte .

vaikārikastrividho'dhyātmamekam

athādhibhūtamadhidaivamanyat ..

dṛgrūpamārkaṃ vapuratra randhre

parasparaṃ sidhyati yaḥ svataḥ khe .

ātmā yadeṣāmaparo ya ādyaḥ

svayānubhūtyākhilasiddhasiddhiḥ .. [bhāgavatam 11.12.3031]

vikalpaṃ bhedaṃ tadbuddhīśca . anekadhātvaṃ prapañcayati vaikārika iti .

anekavikāravānapyasyau sthūladṛṣṭyā tāvattrividhaḥ . traividhyamāha

adhyātma ityādinā . tāni krameṇāha dṛgāditrayeṇa . vapuraṃśaḥ . atra

randhre dṛggolake praviṣṭaṃ tattrayaṃ ca parasparameva sidhyati na tu

svataḥ . yastu khe ākāśe arko vartate sa punaḥ svataḥ sidhyati . cakṣur

viṣayatve'pi svavirodhinaḥ pratiyogyaprekṣābhāvamātreṇa svata ityuktam .

evaṃ yathā maṇḍalātmārkaḥ svataḥ sidhyati tathātmāpītyāha . yadyataḥ

pūrvoktadṛṣṭāntahetorātmā eṣāmadhyātmādīnāṃ yo'para ādyasteṣām

āśrayaḥ . so'pi svataḥ sidhyati kintu svayānubhūtyeti cidrūpatvādviśeṣaḥ .

na kevalametāvadapi tu akhilānāṃ parasparasiddhānāṃ siddhiryasmāt

tathābhūtaḥ sanniti ..

yasmātsvarūpabhūtayaiva śaktyā tathā prakāśate tasmādekarūpasvarūpa

bhāktvamapi dīpavadeva . nātmā jajānetyādāv [bhāgavatam

11.3.37] [*EṇḍṇOṭE ॰5] upalabdhimātramityanenaivoktaṃ mātrapadaṃ

taddharmāṇāmapi svarūpānatiriktatvaṃ dhvanayati . atha cetanatvaṃ nāma

svasya cidrūpatve'pyanyasya dehādeścetayitṛtvaṃ dīpādiprakāśayitṛtvavat .

tadetadvilakṣaṇa ityādāveva dṛṣṭāntenoktam . prakāśaka iti cetayitṛtve

hetuḥ . vyāptiśīlatvamudāhariṣyamāṇa ātmetyādau śrīprahlādavākye

vyāpaka ityanenoktaṃ vyāptiśīlatvamatisūkṣmatayā sarvācetanāntaḥ

praveśasvabhāvatvam . jñānamātrātmako na cetyatra cidānandātmaka ity

api hetvantaram . tatra tasya jaḍapratiyogitvena jñānatvaṃ duḥkha

pratiyogitvena tu jñānatvamānandatvaṃ ca . jñānatvaṃ tūdāhṛtam .

ānandatvaṃ nirupādhipremāspadatvena sādhayati .

tasmātpriyatamaḥ svātmā

sarveṣāmeva dehinām .

tadarthameva sakalaṃ

tasmiṃścānandātmake jñāne pratisvaṃ yuṣmadarthatvaṃ na bhavati . kintv

ātmatvādasmadarthatvameva . taccāsmadarthatvamahambhāva eva .

tato'hamityetacchabdābhidheyākāramevaa jñānaṃ śuddha ātmā

prakṛtyāveśo'nyathā nopapadyate . yata evāveśāttadīyasaṅkhāta evāham

ityahasmāvāntaraṃ prāpnoti tadetadabhipretya tasyāhamatvamāha .

evaṃ parābhidhyānena

kartṛtvaṃ prakṛteḥ pumān .

karmasu kriyamāṇeṣu

guṇairātmani manyate .. [bhāgavatam 3.26.6]

parābhidhyānena prakṛtyāveśena prakṛtirevāhamiti mananena prakṛti

guṇaiḥ kriyamāṇeṣu karmasu kartṛtvamātmani manyate . atra

nirahambhāvasya parābhidhyānāsambhavātparāveśajātāhaṅkārasya

cāvarakatvādastyeva tasminnanyo'hambhāvaviśeṣaḥ . sa ca śuddha

svarūpamātraniṣṭhatvānna saṃsāraheturiti spaṣṭam . etadevāhaṅkāra

dvayaṃ sanne yadindriyagaṇe'hami ca prasupte kūṭastha āśayamṛte tad

anusmṛtirna ityatra [bhāgavatam 11.3.39] darśitam [*EṇḍṇOṭE ॰6] .

upādhvabhimānātmakasyāhaṅkārasya prasuptatvāttadanusmṛtirna ity

anena sukhamahamasvāpsvamityātmano'hatayaiva parāmarśācca ataeva

māmahaṃ nājñāsiṣamityatra parāmarśe'pi

upādhyabhimānino'nusandhānābhāvaḥ anyasya tvajñāna

sākṣitvenānusandhānamiti dik .

ityādau jñānino laukikagururītiṃ tadīyaprākṛtadṛṣṭiṃ vānusṛtya svasya

jīvāntarasādhāraṇyakalpanāmaye śrīhaṃsadevavākye jīvātmanām

ekatvam . tatkhalu aṃśabhede'pi jñānecchūn prati jñānopayogitvena tam

avivicyaiva samānākāratvena . bhedavyapadeśaḥ yathā tatraiva .

pañcātmakeṣu bhūteṣu samāneṣvapi vastutaḥ .

ko bhavāniti vaḥ praśno vācārambho hyanarthakaḥ .. [bhāgavatam 11.13.23] iti .

tatrāpyaṃśabhedo'styeva . ata uktaṃ svayaṃ bhagavatā śuni caiva śvapāke

ca paṇḍitāḥ samadarśinaḥ [gītā 5.18] iti . nirdoṣaṃ hi samaṃ brahma ityādi

ca [gītā 5.19] . atra brahmeti jīvabrahmaivocyate . yathā yathāhametatsad

asatsvamāyayā paśye mayi brahmaṇi kalpitaṃ pare iti . mayi brahmaṇi

dehātmakaṃ pare brahmaṇi ca jagadātmakaṃ sadasatkāryakāraṇa

saṅghātaṃ svaviṣayakamāyayā jīvamāyākhyayā deha evāhaṃ tathā indra

candrādyātmakaṃ jagadeveśvara itīdaṃ kalpitameva yayā matyā paśye

paśyāmītyarthaḥ . samānakāraṇatvādeva pūrvavadanyatra ca so'haṃ sa ca

tvamiti . tadevaṃ sarveṣāmeva jīvānāmekākāratve sati . yāvatsyādguṇa

vaiṣamyaṃ tāvannānātvamātmanaḥ . nānātvamātmano yāvatpāratantryaṃ

tadaiva hītyādiṣu devādidehabhedakṛtāgantukanānātvaṃ nigadyate .

veṇurandhravibhedena

bhedaḥ ṣaḍjādisaṃjñtaḥ .

abhedavyāpinī vāyos

tathā tasya mahātmanaḥ .. ity [Viড় 2.14.32] ādikaṃ tu paramātmaviṣayakam

eva .

tadetatsarvamabhipretya jīvānāṃ pratikṣetraṃ bhinnatvaṃ svapakṣatvena

nirdiśanti . aparimitā dhruvāstanubhṛto yadi sarvagatā iti .. [bhāgavatam 10.87.30]

atra yadiśabdātpūrvapāṭhenāparimitatvaṃ dhruvatvaṃ cāsandigdhamiti

tatra svapakṣatvaṃ paścātpāṭhena sarvagatatvaṃ tu sandigdhamiti . tatra

parapakṣatvaṃ spaṣṭameva . ataeva eko devaḥ sarvabhūteṣu gūḍha ity

ādikaṃ parmātmaparaṃ vākyaṃ jīvānāmekatvaṃ

pratikṣetrabhinnatve hetvantaramaṇuriti . aṇuḥ paramāṇurityarthaḥ .

paramāṇuśca yasya digbhede'pyaṃśo na kalpayituṃ śakyate sa evāṃśasya

parā kāṣṭheti tadvidaḥ . aṇorapyakhaṇḍadehacetayitṛtvaṃ prabhāva

viśeṣādguṇādeva bhavati . yathā śira ādua dhāryamāṇasya jatu

jaṭhitasyāpi mahauṣadhikhaṇḍasyākhaṇḍadehapuṣṭīkaraṇādihetuḥ

prabhāvaḥ . yathā vāyaskāntāderlauhacālanādihetuḥ prabhāva eva tadvat .

tadetadaṇutvamāha sūkṣmāṇāmapyahaṃ jīva iti [bhāgavatam 11.16.11]

tasmātsūkṣmatāparākāṣṭhāprāpto jīva ityarthaḥ . durjñeyatvādyat

sūkṣmatvaṃ tadatra na vivakṣitam . mahatāṃ ca mahānahaṃ sūkṣmāṇām

apyahaṃ jīva iti parasparapratiyogitvena vākyadvayasyānandaryauktau

svārasyabhaṅgāt . prapañcamadhye hi sarvakāraṇatvānmahattattvasya

mahattvaṃ nāma vyāpakatvaṃ na tu pṛthivyādyapekṣayā sujñeyatvaṃ yathā

tadvatprapañce jīvānāmapi sūkṣmatvaṃ paramāṇutvameveti svārasyam .

śrutayaśca eṣo'ṇurātmā cetasā veditavyo yasmin prāṇaḥ pañcadhā

saṃviveśeti [ṃuṇḍū 3.1.9] .

bālāgraśatabhāgasya śatadhā kalpitasya ca .

bhāgo jīvaḥ sa vijñeyaḥ [śvetū 5.9] iti .

tathā

aparimitā dhruvāstanubhṛto yadi sarvagatās

tarhi na śāsyateti niyamo dhruva netarathā .

ajani ca yanmayaṃ tadavimucya niyantṛ bhavet

samamanujānatāṃ yadamataṃ mataduṣṭatayā .. [bhāgavatam 10.87.30]

ayamarthaḥ paramātmano'ṃśatvaṃ tasmājjāyamānatvaṃ ca jīvasya

śrūyate . tatra mamaivāṃśo jīva loke [gītā 15.7] ityādi siddhe'ṃśatve tāvat

tasya vibhutvamuktamityāhuḥ . aparimitā vastuta evānantasaṅkhyā nityāś

ca ye tanubhṛto jīvāste yadi sarvagatā vibhavāḥ syuḥ, tarhi teṣāṃ

vyāpyatvābhāvena samatvātśāsyateti niyamo na syāt . īśvaro niyantā jīvo

niyamya iti vedakṛtaniyamo na ghaṭata ityarthaḥ . he dhruva itarathā

jīvasyāṇutvena vyāpyabhāve tu sati na tanniyamo na api tu sa ghaṭata evety

arthaḥ .

atha yato vā imāni bhūtāni jāyante iti jāyamānatvāvasthāyāmapi vyāpya

vyāpakatvenaiva niyantṛtvaṃ bhavati . sarvatraiva kāryakāraṇayos

tathābhāvadarśanādityāhuḥ ajanīti . yanmayaṃ yadupādānakaṃ yadajani

jāyata ityarthaḥ . tadupādānaṃ kartṛ tasya jāyamānasya yanniyantṛ bhavet

tadavimucya kiñcidapyanuktā vyāpyaivetyarthaḥ . kiṃ ca yadupādāna

rūpaṃ paramātmākhyaṃ tattvaṃ kenāpyapareṇa samaṃ samānamity

anujānatāṃ yaḥ kaścittathā vadati tatrānujñāmapi dadatāmamataṃ jñātaṃ

na bhavatītyarthaḥ . tatra hetuḥ mataduṣṭatayā tasya matasyāśuddhatvena .

tatrāśuddhatvaṃ śrutvā ca virodhāt . śrutiśca asamo vā eṣa paro na hi

kaścideva dṛśyate sarve tvete na vā jāyante ca mriyate sarve hyapūrṇāśca

bhavantīti caturvedaśikhāyām . na tatsamaścābhyadhikaśca dṛśyate iti .

atha kasmāducyate brahmā bṛṃhati bṛṃhayati ceti cānyatra . bṛhatvād

bṛṃhaṇatvācca yadbrahma paramaṃ viduriti [Viড় 1.12.57] śrīviṣṇupurāṇe .

ataḥ paramātmana eva sarvavyāpakatvam . eko devaḥ sarvabhūteṣu gūḍhaḥ

sarvavyāpī sarvabhūtāntarātmā ityādau . tasmādaṇureva jīva iti .

yattu śrībhagavadgītāsu nityaḥ sarvagataḥ sthāṇurityādinā jīva

nirūpaṇaṃ tatra sarvagataḥ śrībhagavāneva tatsthastadāśritaścāsāv

aguṇaśca iti sarvagataḥ sthāṇurjīvaḥ proktaḥ ..10.87.. śrutayaḥ ..34..

atha śuddhasvarūpatvānnityanirmalatvamudāhṛtameva . śuddho vicaṣṭe

hyaviśuddhakarturityanena . tathā tenaiva śuddhasyāpi jñātṛtvamapy

udāhṛtam . jñānaṃ ca nityasya svābhāvikadharmatvānnityam . ataeva na

vikriyātmakamapi . tathā caitanyasambandhena dehādeḥ kartṛtvadarśanāt .

kvacidacetanasya kartṛtvaṃ ca . na ṛte tatkriyate kiṃ ca nāre ityādāv

antaryāmicaitanyasambandhena bhavatītyaṅgīkārācca śuddhādeva

kartṛtvaṃ pravartate . taduktam dehendriyaprāṇamanodhiyo'mī yadaṃśa

biddhāḥ pracaranti karmasviti [bhāgavatam 6.16.24] . tattūpādhiprādhānyena

pravartamānamupādhidharmatvena vyapadiśyate . yathā kāryakāraṇa

kartṛtve kāraṇaṃ prakṛtiṃ vidurity [bhāgavatam 3.26.8] ādau . paramātma

prādhānyena pravartamānaṃ tu nirupādhikamevetyāha .

sāttvikaḥ kārako'saṅgī

rāgāndho rājasaḥ smṛtaḥ .

tāmasaḥ smṛtivibhraṣṭo

nirguṇo madapāśrayaḥ .. [bhāgavatam 11.25.26]

atha bhoktṛtvaṃ saṃvedanarūpatvena yathā tathā tatraiva cidrūpe

paryavasyatītyāha bhoktṛtve sukhaduḥkhānāṃ puruṣaṃ prakṛteḥ paramiti

atha paramātmaikaśeṣatveti vyākhyeyam . ekaḥ paramātmano'nyaḥ

śeṣo'ṃśaḥ . sa cāsau sa ca ekaśeṣaḥ . paramātmana ekaśeṣaḥ paramātmaika

śeṣaḥ . tasya bhāvastattvaṃ tadeva svabhāvaḥ prakṛtiryasya sa

paramātmaikaśeṣatvasvabhāvaḥ . tathābhūtaścāyaṃ sarvadā mokṣa

daśāyāmapītyarthaḥ . etādṛśatvaṃ cāsya svataḥ svarūpata eva na tu

paricchedādinā . tadīyasvābhāvikācintyaśaktyā svābhāvikatadīyaraśmi

paramāṇusthānīyatvātaupādhikāvathāyāstvaṃśena prakṛtiśeṣatvamapi

bhavati iti ca svata ityasya bhāvaḥ . śaktirūpatvaṃ cāsya taṭasthaśakty

ātmakatvāt, tathā tadīyaraśmisthānīyatve'pi nityatadāśrayitvāttad

vyatirekeṇa vyatirekāt . heturbhāvo'sya sargāderityanusāreṇa jagatsṛṣṭau

tatsādhanatvāt . dravyasvarūpatve'pi pradhānasāmyāccāvagamyate . uktaṃ

ca prakṛtiviśeṣatvena tasya śaktitvam

viṣṇuśaktiḥ parā proktā

kṣetrajñākhyā tathā parā .

avidyā karmasaṃjñākhyā

tṛtīyā śaktirucyate .. iti viṣṇupurāṇe [Viড় 6.7.61] .

bhūmirāpo'nalo vāyurity [gītā 7.4] ādau bhinnā prakṛtiraṣṭadhety

anantaram .

apareyamitastvanyāṃ

prakṛtiṃ viddhi me parām .

jīvabhūtāṃ mahābāho

yayedaṃ dhāryate jagat .. iti śrīgītopaniṣatsu ca .

viṣṇuśaktiḥ parā proktetyādi viṣṇupurāṇavacane tu tisṝṇāmeva pṛthak

śaktitvanirdeśātkṣetrajñasyāvidyākarmasambandhena śaktitvamiti parās

tam . kintu svarūpenaivetyāyātam . tathā ca gītaṃ mamaivāṃśa iti .

ataevāpareyamitastvanyāmityuktam . kṣetrajña etā manaso vibhūtīrity

ādau kṣetrajñaśabdaśca śuddhe'pi pravartate kṣetraśabdasyopalakṣaṇa

mātratvāt .

tadevaṃ śaktitve'pyanyatvamasya taṭasthatvāt . taṭasthatvaṃ ca māyāśakty

atītatvāt . asyāvidyāparābhavādirūpeṇa doṣeṇa paramātmano lepābhāvāc

cobhayakoṭāvapraveśāt . tasya tacchaktitve satyapi paramātmanastal

lepābhāvaśca yathā kvacidekadeśasthe raśmau chāyayā tiraskṛte'pi

sūryasyātiraskārastadvat . uktaṃ ca taṭasthatvaṃ śrīnāradapañcarātre

yattaṭasthaṃ tu cidrūpaṃ

svasaṃvedyādvinirgatam .

rañjitaṃ guṇarāgeṇa

sa jīva iti kathyate .. ityādau .

ato viṣṇupurāṇe'pyantarāla eva paṭhito'sau . anyatvaṃ ca śrutau asmān

māyī sṛjate viśvametattasmiṃś cānyo māyayā saṃniruddhaḥ [śvetū 4.9] .

tayoranyaḥ pippalaṃ svādvatti ityādau . ataevoktaṃ vaiṣṇave vibhedajanake

jñāne nāśamātyantikaṃ gate . ātmano brahmaṇo bhedamasantaṃ kaḥ

kariṣyatīti . devatvamanuṣyatvādilakṣaṇo viśeṣato yo bhedastasya janake'py

ajñāne nāśaṃ gate brahmaṇaḥ paramātmanaḥ sakāśādātmano jīvasya yo

bhedaḥ svābhāvikastaṃ bhedamasantaṃ kaḥ kariṣyati api tu santaṃ

vidyamānameva sarva eva kariṣyatītyarthaḥ . uttaratra pāṭhe nāsantamity

etasya vidheyatvādanyārthaḥ kaṣṭasṛṣṭa eveti mokṣadāyāmapi tad

aṃśatvāvyabhicāraḥ svābhāvikaśaktitvādeva . ataevāvidyāvimokṣa

pūrvakasvarūpāvashtitilakṣaṇāyāṃ muktau tallīnasya tatsādharmyāpattir

bhavati . nirañjanaḥ paramaṃ sāmyamupaitītyādiśrutibhyaḥ . idaṃ jñānam

upāśritya mama sādharmyamāgatāḥ . svarge'pi nopajāyate pralaye na

vyathanti ceti śrīgītopaniṣadbhyaśca . ataeva brahma veda brahmaiva

bhavatīty [ṃuṇḍ3.2.9] ādiṣu ca brahmatādātmyameva bodhayati .

svābhāvyāpattirupapatteritivat . tadevaṃ śaktitve siddhe śaktiśaktimatoḥ

parasparānupraveśātśaktimadvyatireke śaktivyatirekātcittvāviśeṣācca

kvacidabhedanirdeśa ekasminnapi vastuni śaktivaividhyadarśanātbheda

nirdeśaśca nāsamañjasaḥ . śrīrāmānujīyāstu adhiṣṭhānādhiṣṭhātrorapi

jīveśayorabhedavyapadeśo vyaktijātyorgavādivyapadeśavaditi manyante .

yathā śrīviṣṇupurāṇe [*EṇḍṇOṭE ॰7]

yo'yaṃ tavāgato deva

samīpaṃ devatāgaṇaḥ .

sa tvameva jagatsraṣṭā

yataḥ sarvagato bhavān .. iti .

śrīgītāsu ca sarvaṃ samāpnoṣi tato'si sarva iti . tatra jñānecchūn prati

śāstramabhedamupadiśati bhaktīcchūn prati tu bhedameva . kvacittu
