bodhayantīti hi prāhustrivṛdbhāgavataṃ punaḥ ..

iti muktāphale hemādrikāravacanena ca . tasmānmanyantāṃ vā kecit

purāṇāntareṣu vedasāpekṣatvaṃ śrībhāgavate tu tathā sambhāvanā svayam

eva nirastaityapi svayameva labdhaṃ bhavati . ataeva paramaśrutirūpatvaṃ

tasya . yathoktam

kathaṃ vā pāṇḍaveyasya rājarṣermuninā saha .

saṃvādaḥ samabhūttāta yatraiṣā sātvatī śrutiḥ .. (bhāgavatam 1.4.7) iti .

atha yatkhalu sarvaṃ purāṇajātamāvirbhāvyetyādikaṃ pūrvamuktaṃ tat

tu prathamaskandhagataśrīvyāsanāradasaṃvādenaiva prameyam ..26..

baladeva vidyābhūṣaṇa : vaktavyaṃ yojayatyatra yadyapītyādinā . tasmādevamiti tadvaktuḥ

śrīśukasya sarvagurutvenāpītyarthaḥ . āpekṣikamiti etadanya

purāṇāpekṣayetyarthaḥ . atha paramotkarṣamāha aho kimiti ॰ ataeveti

kṛṣṇapratinidhitvātkṛṣṇavatsarvaguṇayuktatvamityarthaḥ . priyeva

kānteva . trivṛtvedāditrayaguṇayuktamityarthaḥ . tasmāditi veda

sāpekṣatvaṃ vedavākyena purāṇaprāmāṇyamityarthaḥ . ataeveti

paramārthāvedakatvādvedāntasyeva bhāgavatasya paramaśrutirūpatvamity

arthaḥ . yatra saṃvāde . sātvatī vaiṣṇavītyarthaḥ . artheti idaṃ bhagavatā

pūrvamityādidvādaśokterbrahmanārāyaṇasaṃvādarūpamaṣṭādaśasu

madhye prakaṭitaṃ, vyāsanāradasaṃvādarūpaṃ tatraiva praveśitaṃ, tad

ubhayasya lakṣaṇasaṅkhye tu mātsyādāvukte iti bodhyamityarthaḥ . evam

eva bhāratopakrame'pi dṛṣṭam . ādāvākhyānairvinā caturviṃśatisahasraṃ

bhārataṃ tatastaiḥ sahitaṃ pañcāśatsahasraṃ tatastaistato'pyadhikamito'py

adhikamiti tadvat ..26..

tadevaṃ paramaniḥśreyasaniścayāya śrībhāgavatameva

paurvāparyāvirodhena vicāryate . tatrāsmin sandarbhaṣaṭkātmake granthe

sūtrasthānīyamavatārikāvākyaṃ viṣayavākyaṃ śrībhāgavatavākyam .

bhāṣyarūpā tadvyākhyā tu samprati madhyadeśādau vyāptānadvaita

vādino nūnaṃ bhagavanmahimānamavagāhayituṃ tadvādena karburita

lipīnāṃ paramavaiṣṇavānāṃ śrīdharasvāmicaraṇānāṃ śuddhavaiṣṇava

siddhāntānugatā cettarhi yathāvadeva vilikhyate . kvacitteṣāmevānyatra

dṛṣṭavyākhyānusāreṇa draviḍādideśavikhyātaparamabhāgavatānāṃ

teṣāmeva bāhulyena tatra vaiṣṇavatvena prasiddhatvāt . śrībhāgavata eva,

kvacitkvacinmahārāja draviḍeṣu ca bhūriśaḥ (bhāgavatam 11.5.39) ityanena

prathitamahimnāṃ sākṣācchrīprabhṛtitaḥ pravṛttasampradāyānāṃ śrī

vaiṣṇavābhidhānāṃ śrīrāmānujabhagavatpādaviracitaśrībhāṣyādi

dṛṣṭamataprāmāṇyena mūlagranthasvārasyena cānyathā ca . advaita

vyākhyānaṃ tu prasiddhatvānnātivitāyate ..27..

baladeva vidyābhūṣaṇa : tadevamiti . nanu veda evāsmākaṃ pramāṇamiti pratijñāya purāṇam

eva tatsvīkarotīti kimidaṃ kautukamiti cenmaivaṃ bhramitavyam . evaṃ vā

are'sya mahato bhūtasya (Bṛhadū 2.4.10) ityādiśrutyaiva purāṇasya

vedatvābhidhānāt . vedeṣu vedāntasyaiva purāṇeṣu śrībhāgavatasya

śraiṣṭhyanirṇayācca tadeva pramāṇamiti kimasaṅgatamuktamiti . atha

brahmasūtrabhāṣyarītyā sandarbhasyāsya pravṛttirityāha tatrasminniti .

vicārārhavākyaṃ viṣayavākyam . bhāṣyarūpā tadvyākhyeti . ayamarthaḥ

śrīdharasvāmino vaiṣṇavā eva, taṭṭīkāsu bhagavadvigrahaguṇavibhūti

dhāmnāṃ tatpārṣadatanūnāṃ ca nityatvokteḥ . bhagavadbhakteḥ

sarvotkṛṣṭamokṣānuvṛttyorukteśca tathāpi kvacitkvacinmāyāvādollekhas

tadvādino bhagavadbhaktau praveśayituṃ baḍiśāmiṣārpaṇanyāyenaiveti

viditamiti . śuddhavaiṣṇaveti yathā sāṅkhyādiśāstrāṇāmaviruddhāṃśaḥ

sarvaiḥ svīkṛtastadvadidaṃ bodhyam . kvacitteṣāmeveti kvacit

sthalāntarīyasvāmivyākhyānusāreṇa śrībhāṣyādidṛṣṭamata

prāmāṇyena mūlaśrībhāgavatasvārasyena cānyathā ca bhāṣyarūpā tad

vyākhyā mayā likhyata iti matkapolakalpanaṃ kiñcidapi nāstīti

pramāṇopetātra ṭīketyarthaḥ . nanu pūrvapakṣajñānāyādvaitaṃ ca

vyākhyeyamiti tatrāha advaiteti ..27..

atra ca svadarśitārthaviśeṣaprāmāṇyāyaiva, na tu śrīmadbhāgavata

vākyaprāmāṇyāya, pramāṇāni śrutipurāṇādivacanāni yathādṛṣṭam

evodāharaṇīyāni . kvacitsvayamadṛṣṭākarāṇi ca tattvavādagurūṇām

anādhunikānāṃ pracurapracāritavaiṣṇavamataviśeṣāṇāṃ dakṣiṇādideśa

vikhyātaśiṣyopaśiṣyībhūtavijayadhvajavyāsatīrthādivedavedārthavid

varāṇāṃ śrīmadhvācāryacaraṇānāṃ bhāgavatatātparyabhāratatātparya

brahmasūtrabhāṣyādibhyaḥ saṅgṛhītāni . taiścaivamuktaṃ bhārata

tātparye

śāstrāntarāṇi saṃjānan vedāntasya prasādataḥ .

deśe deśe tathā granthān dṛṣṭvā caiva pṛthagvidhān ..

yathā sa bhagavān vyāsaḥ sākṣānnārāyaṇaḥ prabhuḥ .

jagāda bhāratādyeṣu tathā vakṣye tadīkṣayā .. iti .

tatra taduddhṛtā śrutiścaturvedaśikhādyā, purāṇaṃ ca gāruḍādīnāṃ

samprati sarvatrāpracaradrūpamaṃśādikam . saṃhitā ca mahāsaṃhitādikā

tantraṃ ca tantrabhāgavatādikaṃ brahmatarkādikamiti jñeyam ..28..

baladeva vidyābhūṣaṇa : atreti . iha granthe yāni śrutipurāṇādivacanāni mayā dhriyante tāni

svadarśitārthaviśeṣaprāmāṇyaiva . na tu śrībhāgavatavākyaprāmaṇyāya,

tasya svataḥ pramāṇatvāt . tāni ca yathādṛṣṭamevodāharaṇīyāni mūla

granthān vilokyotthāpitānītyarthaḥ . kānicidvākyāni tu madadṛṣṭākarāṇy

asmadācāryaśrīmadhvamunidṛṣṭākarāṇyeva kvacinmayā dhriyanta ity

āha kvaciditi . madvyākhyānaṃ kvacidarthaviśeṣe prāmāṇyāya śrī

madhvācāryacaraṇānāṃ bhāgavatatātparyādibhyo granthebhyaḥ

saṅgṛhītāni śrutipurāṇādivacanāni dhriyanta ityanuṣaṅgaḥ . atrāsya

granthakartuḥ satyavāditvaṃ dhvanitam . kaumārabrahmacaryavān

naiṣṭhiko yaḥ satyataponidhiḥ svapne'pyanṛtaṃ noce ceti prasiddham . teṣāṃ

kīdṛśānāmityāha tattveti . sarvaṃ vastu satyamiti vādastattvavādastad

upadeṣṭṝṇāmityarthaḥ . anādhunikānāmatiprācīnānāṃ kenacic

chāṅkareṇa saha vivāde madhvasya mataṃ vyāsaḥ svīcakre . śaṅkarasya tu

tatyājetyaitihyamasti . pracāriteti bhaktānāṃ viprāṇāmeva mokṣaḥ . devā

bhakteṣu mukhyāḥ . viriñcasyaiva sāyujyam . lakṣmyā jīvakoṭitvamityevaṃ

mataviśeṣaḥ . dakṣiṇādideśeti tena gauḍe'pi mādhavendrādayastad

upaśiṣyāḥ katicidbabhūvurityarthaḥ . śāstrāntarāṇīti tena svasya dṛṣṭa

sarvākaratā vyajyate digvijayitvaṃ cetyupodghāto vyākhyātaḥ ..28..

atha namaskurvanneva tathābhūtasya śrīmadbhāgavatasya tātparyatad

vakturhṛdayaniṣṭhāparyālocanayā saṅkṣepatastāvannirdhārayati

svasukhanibhṛtacetāstadvyudastānyabhāvo'

pyajitaruciralīlākṛṣṭasārastadīyam .

vyatanuta kṛpayā yastattvadīpaṃ purāṇaṃ

tamakhilavṛjinaghnaṃ vyāsasūnuṃ nato'smi .. [bhāgavatam 12.12.69]

ṭīkā ca śrīdharasvāmiviracitā śrīguruṃ namaskaroti . svasukhenaiva

nibhṛtaṃ pūrṇaṃ ceto yasya saḥ . tenaiva vyudasto'nyasmin bhāvo bhāvanā

yasya tathābhūto'pyajitasya rucirābhirlīlābhirākṛṣṭaḥ sāraḥ svasukha

gataṃ dhairyaṃ yasya saḥ . tattvadīpaṃ paramārthaprakāśakaṃ śrī

bhāgavataṃ yo vyatanuta taṃ nato'smi ityeṣā . evameva dvitīye tadvākyam

eva prāyeṇa munayo rājan (bhāgavatam 2.1.7) ityādipadyatrayamanusandheyam .

atrākhilavṛjinaṃ tādṛśabhāvasya pratkūlamudāsīnaṃ ca jñeyam . tadevam

iha sambandhitattvaṃ brahmānandādapi prakṛṣṭo ruciralīlāvaśiṣṭaḥ

śrīmānajita eva . sa ca pūrṇatvena mukhyatayā śrīkṛṣṇasaṃjña eveti śrī

bādarāyaṇasamādhau vyaktībhaviṣyati . tathā prayojanākhyaḥ puruṣārthaś

ca tādṛśatadāsaktijanakaṃ tallīlāśravaṇādilakṣaṇaṃ tadbhajanamevety

āyātam . atra vyāsasūnumiti brahmavaivartānusāreṇa śrīkṛṣṇavarāj

janmata eva māyayā tasyāspṛṣṭatvaṃ sūcitam ..12.12.. śrīsūtaḥ śrī

śaunakam ..29..

baladeva vidyābhūṣaṇa : atha yasya brahmeti (ṭattvaṣ, verse viii) padyoktaṃ sambandhikṛṣṇa

tattvaṃ, tadbhaktilakṣaṇamabhidheyaṃ, tatpremalakṣaṇaṃ pumarthaṃ ca

nirūpatayā padyena tāvadgranthaṃ pravartayan granthakṛdavatārayati atheti

maṅgalārtham . yasmin śāstravakturhṛdayaniṣṭhā pratīyate tadeva

śāstrapratipādyavastu, na tvanyadityarthaḥ . sveti tadīyamajitanirūpakaṃ

purāṇamityarthaḥ . ṭīkā ceti svasukheneti . svamasādhāraṇaṃ jīvānāndād

utkṛṣṭam . guḍādiva madhu, yadanabhibyaktasaṃsthānaguṇavibhūtilīlam

ānandarūpaṃ svaprakāśaṃ brahmaśabdavyapadeśyaṃ vastu tenetyarthaḥ .

rucirābhiriti pāramaiśvaryasamavetamādhuryasambhinnatvān

manojñābhirānandaikarūpābhiḥ pānakarasanyāyena sphuradajitatat

parikarādibhirlīlābhirityarthaḥ . atrākhileti . pratikūlaṃ pratyākhyāyakam .

udāsīnaṃ tyājakamityarthaḥ . aṅkayugmaṃ skandhādhyāyayorjñāpakam .

śrīsūtaḥ śrīśaunakaṃ prati nirdhārayatītyavatārikāvākyena sambandhaḥ .

evamuttaratra sarvatra bodhyam ..29..

tādṛśameva tātparyaṃ karisyamāṇatadgranthapratipādyatattvanirṇaya

kṛte tatpravaktṛśrībādarāyaṇakṛte samādhāvapi saṅkṣepata eva

nirdhārayati

bhaktiyogena manasi samyakpraṇihite'male .

apaśyatpuruṣaṃ pūrṇaṃ māyāṃ ca tadapāśrayam ..

yayā sammohito jīva ātmānaṃ triguṇātmakam .

paro'pi manute'narthaṃ tatkṛtaṃ cābhipadyate ..

anarthopaśamaṃ sākṣādbhaktiyogamadhokṣaje .

lokasyājānato vidvāṃścakre sātvatasaṃhitām ..

yasyāṃ vai śrūyamāṇāyāṃ kṛṣṇe paramapūruṣe .

bhaktirutpadyate puṃsaḥ śokamohabhayāpahā ..

sa saṃhitāṃ bhāgavatīṃ kṛtvānukramya cātmajam .

śukamadhyāpayāmāsa nivṛttinirataṃ muniḥ .. (bhāgavatam 1.7.48)

tatra

sa vai nivṛttinirataḥ sarvatropekṣako muniḥ .

kasya vā bṛhatīmetāmātmārāmaḥ samabhyasat .. (bhāgavatam 1.7.9)

iti śaunakapraśnānantaraṃ ca

ātmārāmāśca munayo nirgranthā apyurukrame .

kurvantyahaitukīṃ bhaktimitthambhūtaguṇo hariḥ ..

harerguṇākṣiptamatirbhagavān bādarāyaṇiḥ .

adhyagānmahadākhyānaṃ nityaṃ viṣṇujanapriyaḥ .. (bhāgavatam 1.7.1011)

bhaktiyogena premṇā .

astvevamaṅga bhagavān bhajatāṃ mukundo

muktiṃ dadāti karhicitsma na bhaktiyogam .. (bhāgavatam 5.6.18)

ityatra prasiddheḥ . praṇihite samāhite samādhinānusmara tadviceṣṭitam

(bhāgavatam 1.5.13) iti taṃ prati śrīnāradopadeśāt . pūrṇadasya muktapragrahayā

vṛttyā

bhagavāniti śabdo'yaṃ tathā puruṣa ityapi .

vartate nirupādhiśca vāsudeve'khilātmani ..

iti pādmottarakhaṇḍavacanāvaṣṭambhena, tathā

kāmakāmo yajetsomamakāmaḥ puruṣaṃ param ..

akāmaḥ sarvakāmo vā mokṣakāma udāradhīḥ .

tīvreṇa bhaktiyogena yajeta puruṣaṃ param .. (bhāgavatam 2.3.910)

ityasya vākyadvayasya pūrvavākye puruṣaṃ paramātmānaṃ prakṛty

ekopādhimuttaravākye puruṣaṃ pūrṇaṃ nirupādhimiti ṭīkānusāreṇa ca

pūrṇaḥ puruṣo'tra svayaṃ bhagavānucyate ..30..

baladeva vidyābhūṣaṇa : granthavaktuḥ śukasya yatra niṣṭhāvadhāritā . tatraiva granthakartur

vyāsasyāpi niṣṭhāmavadhārayitumavatārayati tādṛśameveti . nivṛttinirataṃ

brahmānandādanyasmin spṛhāvirahitam . kasyeti saṃhitābhyāsasya kiṃ

phalamityarthaḥ . adhyagādadhītavān . muktapragrahayeti yathāśvaḥ

pragrahe mukte balāvadhi dhāvatyevaṃ pūrṇaśabdaḥ pravṛttaḥ

pūrṇatvāvadhi pravarteteti vaktuṃ tadavadhiśca svayaṃbhagavatyeveti

tathocyata ityarthaḥ ..30..

pūrvamiti pāṭhe pūrvamevāhamihāsam, iti tatpuruṣasya puruṣatvamiti

śrautanirvacanaviśeṣapuraskāreṇa ca sa evocyate . tamapaśyatśrīveda

vyāsa iti svarūpaśaktimantamevetyetatsvayameva labdhaṃ pūrṇaṃ

candramapaśyadityukte kāntimantamapaśyaditi labhyate . ataeva

tvamādyaḥ puruṣaḥ sākṣād

īśvaraḥ prakṛteḥ paraḥ

māyāṃ vyudasya cicchaktyā

kaivalye sthita ātmani .. [bhāgavatam 1.7.23] ityuktam .

ataeva māyāṃ ca tadapāśrayamityanena tasminapa apakṛṣṭa āśrayo

yasyāḥ . nilīya sthitatvāditi māyāyā na tatsvarūpabhūtatvamityapi

labhyate . vakṣyate ca māyā paraityabhimukhe ca vilajjamānā iti [bhāgavatam

2.7.47] . svarūpaśaktiriyamatraiva vyaktībhaviṣyati anarthopaśamaṃ sākṣād

bhaktiyogamadhokṣaje [bhāgavatam 1.7.6] ityanena ātmārāmāśca [bhāgavatam 1.7.10] ity

anena ca . pūrvatra hi bhaktiyogaprabhāvaḥ khalvasau māyābhibhāvakatayā

svarūpaśaktivṛttitvenaiva gamyate . paratra ca te guṇā brahmānandasyāpy

uparicaratayā svarūpaśakteḥ paramavṛttitāmevārhantīti . māyādhiṣṭhātṛ

puruṣastu tadaṃśatvena, brahma ca tadīyanirviśeṣāvirbhāvatvena, tad

antarbhāvavivakṣayā pṛthaṅnokte iti jñeyam . ato'tra pūrvavadeva

sambandhitattvaṃ nirdhāritam ..31..

baladeva vidyābhūṣaṇa : pāṭhāntareṇāpi sa evārtha iti vyākhyātumāha pūrvamiti . īśvarasyaiva

pūrvavartitvātpuruṣatvamityarthaḥ . sa eveti svayaṃ bhagavāneva .

svarūpaśaktimattve pramāṇamāha tvamiti . śrutiścātrāsti . parāsya śaktir

vividhaiva śrūyate svābhāvikī jñānabalakriyā ca iti (śvetū 6.8) . eṣaiva

hlādinī sandhinītyādinā smaryate . ityuktamiti kaṇṭhataḥ pāṭhitam

arjunenetyarthaḥ . māyāto'nyeyaṃ bodhyetyāha ataevetyādinā . mūla

vākyena svarūpabhūtā cicchaktiriyaṃ bodhitāstīyāha ataevetyādinā .

paṭṭamahiṣīva svarūpaśaktiḥ, bahirdvārasevikeva māyāśaktirity

ubhayormahadantaraṃ bodhyam . bhagavadbhakterbhagavadguṇānāṃ ca

svarūpaśaktisārāṃśatvaṃ sayuktikamāha pūrvatra hītyādinā .

brahmānandasyeti anabhivyaktasaṃsthānādiviśeṣasyeti bodhyam . nanu

paramātmarūpastādṛśabrahmarūpaścāvirbhāvaḥ kuto vyāsena na dṛṣṭa

iti cettatrāha māyādhiṣṭhātriti ..31..

atha prākpratipāditasyaivābhedhyeasya prayojanasya ca sthāpakaṃ jīvasya

svarūpata eva parameśvarādvailakṣaṇyamapaśyadityāha yayā māyayā

sammohito jīvaḥ svayaṃ cidrūpatvena triguṇātmakājjaḍātparo'pyātmānaṃ

triguṇātmakaṃ jaḍaṃ dehādisaṅghātaṃ manute . tanmananakṛtamanarthaṃ

saṃsāravyasanaṃ cābhipadyate . tadevaṃ jīvasya cidrūpatve'pi yayā

sammohita iti manute iti ca svarūpabhūtajñānaśālitvaṃ vyanakti

prakāśaikarūpasya tejasaḥ svaparaprakāśanaśaktivat . ajñānenāvṛtaṃ

jñānaṃ tena muhyanti jantavaḥ (gītā 5.25) iti śrīgītābhyaḥ . tadevaṃ

upādhereva jīvatvaṃ tannāśasyaiva mokṣatvamiti matāntaraṃ parihṛtavān .

atra yayā sammohitaḥ ityanena tasyā eva tatra kartṛtvaṃ bhagavatas

tatrodāsīnatvaṃ matam . vakṣyate ca

vilajjamānayā yasya sthātumīkṣāpathe'muyā

vimohitā vikatthante mamāhamiti durdhiyaḥ .. [bhāgavatam 2.5.13] iti .

atra vilajjamānayā ityanenedamāyāti tasyā jīvasammhohanaṃ karma śrī

bhagavate na rocata iti yadyapi sā svayaṃ jānāti, tathāpi bhayaṃ

dvitīyābhiniveśataḥ syādīśādapetasya (bhāgavatam 11.2.37) iti diśā jīvānām

anādibhagavadajñānamayavaimukhyamasahamānā svarūpāvaraṇam

asvarūpāveśaṃ ca karoti ..32..

jīvo yenśvaraṃ bhajetbhaktyā ca tasmin premāṇaṃ vindettato māyayā

vimuktaḥ syāttamīśvarājjīvasya vāstavaṃ bhedamapaśyaditi vyācaṣṭe,

atha prāgityādinā . jīvasyeti vailakṣaṇyamiti sevakatvasevyatvāṇutva

vibhutvarūpanityadharmahetukaṃ bhedamityarthaḥ . nanu cinmātro

jīvaḥ yo vijñāne tiṣṭhan (Bṛhadū 3.7.22), vijñānaṃ yajñaṃ tanute (ṭaittū

2.5.1) ityādau ciddhātutvaśravaṇāt, na tasya dharmabhūtaṃ nityaṃ jñānam

asti yena mohamanane varṇanīye . tasmātsattvā sañjāyate jñānam (gītā

14.17) ityādivākyāt, sattve yā caitanyasya cchāyā, tadeva sattvopahitasya

tasya jñānaṃ yena mohamanane vyāsena dṛṣṭe syātāmiti cettatrāha tad

evamityādinā . chāyābhāvācca na tatkalpanaṃ yuktamiti bhāvaḥ . nanu

svarūpabhūtaṃ jñānaṃ kathamiti cettatrāha parkāśaiketi . ahi

kuṇḍalādhikaraṇe (Vs. 3.2.28) bhāṣitametaddraṣṭavyam . tṛtīyasandarbhe

vistarīṣyāma etat . tadevamupādheriti antaḥkaraṇaṃ jīvaḥ antaḥkaraṇa

nāśo jīvasya mokṣa iti śaṅkaramataṃ dūsitam . tathā sati paro'pītyādi

vyākopāditi bhāvaḥ . atreti tatra jīvamohane karmaṇi . tasyā māyāyāḥ .

vilajjeti brahmavākyam . amuyā māyayā . asahamāneti dāsyā ucitametat

karma yatsvāmivimukhān duḥkhākarotīti . īśavaimukhyena pihitaṃ jīvaṃ

māyā pidhatte, ghaṭenāvṛtaṃ dīpaṃ yathā tama āvṛṇotīti ..32..

śrībhagavāṃścānādita eva bhaktāyāṃ prapañcādhikāriṇyāṃ tasyāṃ

dākṣiṇyaṃ laṅghituṃ na śaknoti . tathā tadbhayenāpi jīvānāṃ sva

sāmmukhyaṃ vāñchannupadiśati

daivī hyeṣā guṇamayī mama māyā duratyayā .

māmeva ye prapadyante māyāmetāṃ taranti te .. iti [gītā 7.14]

satāṃ prasaṅgānmama vīryasaṃvido
