The city tour starts at the Opera House, which is the first building in Europe built on a solid concrete base for the first time, then you will walk down Svoboda Avenue, which is laid out above the enclosed underground Poltva River. On your way you will have a look at the historic building housing The Maria Zankovetska Drama Theatre that was once the biggest in Europe and is the oldest in Ukraine. You will see the oldest and most gorgeous churches and cathedrals in the Old Town including the Baroque style Jesuit Cathedral, the Virgin Mary's Assumption church, the Armenian Cathedral with the 16th-17th century tombstones and others. There is a possibility to visit the High Castle and the underground city of the 14th century. Shevchenkivsky Park is an open air museum - the collection of huts of the 17th-18th century from all regions of Ukraine. Lychakiv Cemetery is the place where the most prominent Ukrainians are buried. As Lviv is one of the biggest cities in Ukraine, the people of different professions are of great demand at the moment. Lviv is the city where you can touch history at every step. It is worth visiting.
