Negligence

I have been working as a shop assistant in the biggest department store in my small town. Recently I have been fired because of some missing items from the shop. I did not steal them myself, but was accused of lack of care, letting some shop-lifters steal the clothes. Should I try to hide the actual reason of my firing?

My employment list is very long and versatile. I gained a lot of experience in public relations and social media in the last six years, but I have never worked for one company for longer than 8 months. Right now I am planning to find a steady job at an advertising agency, but I don't know how to convince my future employer, that I can commit to the work place.
