ACHAR CONSULTING LAUNCHES CROSS-CULTURAL COURSES

Hampstead, May 10, 2007 – Achar Consulting introduced two new intensive courses in cross-cultural skills.

Border Crossing is a two-day workshop that shows executives how to do business in foreign markets. The workshop teaches participants how to understand other cultures and how to adapt their behaviour to the host country’s customs and etiquette. The course concludes with a unique, three-hour virtual reality test which simulates business meetings in three different cultures.

Changing Places is a one-week workshop that prepares participants for long-term overseas assignments or expatriation. The course is specially adapted according to the target destination.

The courses were designed in collaboration with leading experts in cross-cultural awareness in order to meet the growing demand from companies competing in global markets. These businesses have realized that an investment in pre-departure training pays dividends as staff are immediately operational on arrival and better equipped to avoid culture shock.

Both courses include multimedia training and reference materials to help executives both before and during their assignments. Course fees are £695 per person for two days, or £1,495 per person for one week. Group discounts and on-site sessions are also available.
