REGULATION

on Conduction of III International Children and Youth Guitar Playing Contest of Russian Music

1. General Provisions

1. 1. III International Children and Youth Guitar Playing Contest of Russian Music (hereinafter – the Contest) shall be conducted in Kaliningrad among students of educations institutions of culture and art, culture and leisure institutions, students of Kaliningrad Regional Musical College, other regions of Russia and foreign countries.

1. 2. The Contest shall be conducted on March 24-25, 2021.

1. 3. The Contest is held in accordance with the requirements of the resolution of the Government of the Kaliningrad Region in remote mode (by video recording).

2. Contest Founders and Organizers

2. 1. The Ministry of Culture of Kaliningrad region;

2. 2. Regional State Budget Educational Institution of Further Vocational Education “Educational and Methodical Center”;

2. 3. Municipal Autonomous Educational Institution of Children Supplementary Education of City District “Kaliningrad City” “M. I. Glinka Children`s Music School”;

3. Contest Objects and Tasks

3. 1. To preserve and strengthen the best traditions of the Russian music culture in the most western region of Russia.

3. 2. To create conditions for detecting new talented performers among guitar students.

3. 3. To establish a creative environment for spiritual, moral and professional education of musicians.

3. 4. To bring up children audience and raise awareness to children`s musical creative work.

3. 5. To improve professional skills and exchange academic experience.

3. 6. To improve young musicians` performance skills.

4. Contest Terms and Procedure

4. 1. The Contest shall consist of one round.

4. 2. The Contest shall have 2 nominations:

· Solo-performers

· Groups (duos, trios, quarters etc., guitar and other instrument.

4. 3. The Contest shall be conducted in five age groups:

· I group through 9 years old;

· II group through 10-11 years old;

· III group through 12-13 years old;

· IV group through 14-17 years old;

· V group: Music College students

4. 4. The age of participants shall be determined on the first Contest day – March 24, 2021.

4. 5. Groups shall be classified into the age groups by the oldest participant age.

4. 6. One teacher may perform in groups of 4 and more performers, two teachers may perform in groups of 6 and more performers.

4. 7. The program shall be performed by heart in the “Solo-performers” nomination. The piece playing sequence shall be determined by a contestant.

4. 8. The contest program shall be allowed to be played from score in the “Groups” nomination.

4. 9. Any changes in the stated program shall be reported to the organizing committee at least for two weeks before commencement of the Contest.

4. 10. Contest auditions shall be open for public in the M. I. Glinka Children`s Music School Concert Hall.

4. 11. The performance sequence of participants in the Contest shall be determined at the draw.

4. 12. Video recording requirements:

• Video recording should be continuous from the beginning to the end of the entire performance, ie. without stopping and installation.

• During the performance, the performer's hands and face must be in the frame.

• To send a video, you must upload it to the folder with files of executable works using the services:

Video files are placed in the cloud storage in the following formats: AVI; mp4; mpeg. and must contain in the title the short name of the school, the surname and name of the participant in the competition.

4. 13. Links to files are indicated in the application.

4. 14. The competition program includes: master classes by members of the competition jury.

5. Program Requirements

5. 1. Program requirements for solo performers:

· A piece by a Russian composer;

· Obligatory piece;

· Optional piece.
