Dear colleagues!

It is our great pleasure to invite you to participate in the International Symposium “Biodiagnostics and Environmental Quality Assessment: Approaches, Methods, Criteria and Reference Standards in Ecotoxicology”.

The Symposium will cover issues of environmental assessment of terrestrial and water ecosystems, standardization in ecotoxicolgy, collections of test cultures and reference samples for ecological soil and hydrobiological studies.

Main Symposium topics

I. Bioassay instandardization and toxicological monitoring:

• Test organisms, biomarkers, and methods;

• Challenges in standardization, convergence and reproducibility of assessments.

II. Bioindication and chemical analysis in environmental monitoring:

• indication in environmental assessment of natural and technogenic media as a basis for environmental decision making;

• reference ecosystems and benchmarking;

• regional approaches.

III. Methodology of biodiagnostics:

• Methodological grounds, models and approaches to the integration of experimental biotesting results and bioindication data for setting environmental standards.

The Symposium papers (three pages) and abstract (one full page) should be submitted either in Russian or in English and will be published.
