Book 2: chapters 21-65 37 страница25. God is Informed of what you do.
The Cheating CHAPTER ONE Divisions 1-35 THE CHEATING 64: 1 - 64: 18 1. 1. Everything in the heavens and the earth praises God. 2. To Him belongs the Kingdom, and to Him all praise is due, and He is Able to do all things.
3. 2. It is He who created you. 4. Some of you are unbelievers, and some of you are believers. 5. And God perceives what you do.
6. 3. He created the heavens and the earth with truth, and He designed you, and designed you well, and to Him is the final return. 7. 4. He knows everything in the heavens and the earth, and He knows what you conceal and what you reveal. 8. And God knows what is within the hearts.
9. 5. Has the news not reached you, of those who disbelieved before? 10. They tasted the ill consequences of their conduct, and a painful torment awaits them.
11. 6. That is because their messengers came to them with clear explanations, yet they said, “Are human beings going to guide us? ” 12. So they disbelieved and turned away. Yet God is in no need. 13. God is Independent and Praiseworthy.
14. 7. Those who disbelieve claim that they will not be resurrected. 15. Say to them, “Yes indeed, by my Lord, you will be resurrected; then you will be informed of everything you did; and that is easy for God. ”
16. 8. So believe in God and His Messenger, and the Light which We sent down. 17. God is Aware of everything you do.
18. 9. The Day when He gathers you for the Day of Gathering —that is the Day of Mutual Exchange. 19. Whoever believes in God and acts with integrity, He will remit his misdeeds, and will admit him into gardens that rivers flow beneath, to dwell therein forever. 20. That is the supreme achievement.
21. 10. Yeut as for those who disbelieve and denounce Our revelations —these are the inmates of the Fire, dwelling therein forever; and what a miserable fate! 22. 11. No disaster occurs except by God’s leave. 23. Whoever believes in God, He guides his heart. 24. God is Aware of everything.
25. 12. So obey God, and obey the Messenger. 26. Yet if you turn away —it is only incumbent on Our Messenger to deliver the clear message. 27. 13. God, there is no god but He; and in God let the believers put their trust.
28. 14. O you who believe! Among your wives and your children are enemies to you, so beware of them. 29. Yet if you pardon, and overlook, and forgive —God is Forgiver and Merciful.
30. 15. Your possessions and your children are a test, but with God is a splendid reward. 31. 16. So be conscious of God as much as you can, and listen, and obey, and give for your own good. 32. He who is protected from his stinginess —these are the prosperous.
33. 17. If you lend God a good loan, He will multiply it for you, and will forgive you. 34. God is Appreciative and Forbearing. 35. 18. The Knower of the Unseen and the Seen, the Almighty, the Wise.
Divorce CHAPTER ONE Divisions 1-35 DIVORCE 65: 1 - 65: 12 1. 1. O Prophet! If any of you divorce women, divorce them during their period of purity, and calculate their term. 2. And be pious before God, your Lord. 3. And do not evict them from their homes, nor shall they leave, unless they have committed a proven adultery. 4. These are the limits of God —whoever oversteps God’s limits has wronged his own soul. 5. You never know; God may afterwards bring about a new situation.
6. 2. Once they have reached their term, either retain them honorably, or separate from them honorably. 7. And call to witness two just people from among you, and give upright testimony for God. 8. By that is exhorted whoever believes in God and the Last Day. 9. And whoever fears God —He will make a way out for him. 3. And will provide for him from where he never expected.
10. Whoever relies on God—He will suffice him. 11. God will accomplish His purpose. 12. God has set a measure to all things.
13. 4. As for those of your women who have reached menopause, if you have any doubts, their term shall be three months —and also for those who have not menstruated. 14. As for those who are pregnant, their term shall be until they have delivered. 15. Whoever fears God —God will make things easy for him or her.
16. 5. This is the ordinance of God, that He sent down to you. 17. Whoever fears God— God will remit his sins, and will amplify his reward.
18. 6. Allow them to reside where you reside, according to your means, and do not harass them in order to make things difficult for them. 19. If they are pregnant, spend on them until they give birth. 20. And if they nurse your infant, give them their payment. 21. And conduct your relation in amity. (cordial peace) Yet if you disagree, then let another woman nurse him. 22. 7. The wealthy shall spend according to his means; and he whose resources are restricted shall spend according to what God has given him. 23. God never burdens a soul beyond what He has given it. 24. God will bring ease after hardship.
25. 8. How many a town defied the command of its Lord and His messengers? 26. So We held it strictly accountable, and We punished it with a dreadful punishment. 27. 9. It tasted the result of its decisions, and the outcome of its decisions was perdition.
28. 10. God has prepared for them a severe retribution. 29. So beware of God, O you who possess intellect and have faith. 30. God has sent down to you a Reminder.
31. 11. A messenger who recites to you God’s Verses, clear and distinct, that he may bring those who believe and work righteousness from darkness into light. 32. Whoever believes in God and acts with integrity, He will admit him into gardens beneath which rivers flow, therein to abide forever. 33. God has given him an excellent provision.
34. 12. God is He Who created seven heavens, and their like of earth. 35. The command descends through them, so that you may know that God is Capable of everything, and that God Encompasses everything in knowledge.
The Prohibition(s) CHAPTER ONE Divisions 1-30 [Book 3] THE PROHIBITION(S) 66: 1 - 66: 12 1. 1. O prophet! Why do you prohibit what God has permitted for you, seeking to please your wives?
God is Forgiving and Merciful. 2. 2. God has decreed for you the dissolution of your oaths. 3. God is your Master.
He is the All-Knowing, the Most Wise.
4. 3. The Prophet told something in confidence to one of his wives. 5. Yet when she disclosed it, and God made it known to him; he communicated part of it, and he avoided another part.
6. Then, when he informed her of it, she said, “Who informed you of this? ” 7. He said, “The All-Knowing, the All-Informed, informed me. ”
8. 4. If you repent to God, then your hearts have listened. 9. Yet if you band together against him, then God is his Ally, as is Gabriel, and the righteous believers. 10. In addition, the angels will assist him.
11. 5. Perhaps, if he divorces you, his Lord will give him in exchange wives better than you: 12. submissive, believing, obedient, penitent, devout, fasting —previously married, or virgins.
13. 6. O you who believe! Protect yourselves and your families from a Fire, whose fuel is people and stones. 14. Over it are angels, fierce and powerful. 15. They never disobey God in anything He commands them, and they carry out whatever they are commanded.
16. 7. O you who disbelieved! Make no excuses today. 17. You are being repaid for what you used to do.
18. 8. O you who believe! Repent to God with sincere repentance. 19. Perhaps your Lord will remit your sins, and admit you into gardens beneath which rivers flow, on the Day when God will not disappoint the Prophet and those who believed with him.
20. Their light streaming before them, and to their right, they will say, “Our Lord, complete our light for us, and forgive us; 21. You are capable of all things. ”
22. 9. O prophet! Strive hard against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be stern with them. 23. Their abode is Hell. What a miserable destination!
24. 10. God illustrates an example of those who disbelieve: the wife of Noah and the wife of Lot. 25. They were under two of Our righteous servants, yet they betrayed them. 26. They availed them nothing against God, and it was said, “Enter the Fire with those who are entering. ”
27. 11. And God illustrates an example of those who believe: the wife of Pharaoh, when she said, “My Lord, build for me, with you, a house in Paradise, 28. and save me from Pharaoh and his works, and save me from the wrongdoing people. ”
29. 12. And Mary, the daughter of Imran, who guarded her womb, and so We breathed into her of Our Spirit; 30. and she believed in the truth of her Lord’s Words and His Books, and was one of the devout.
The Sovereign Dominion CHAPTER ONE Divisions 1-45 THE SOVEREIGN DOMINION 67: 1 - 67: 30 1. 1. Blessed is He in whose hand is the sovereignty, and Who has power over everything. 2. 2. He who created death and life—to test you—concerning who among you is better in conduct.
He is the Almighty, the Forgiving.
3. 3. He who created seven heavens in layers. You see no discrepancy in the creation of the Compassionate. 4. Look again. Can you see any cracks? 5. 4. Then look again, and again, and your sight will return to you dazzled and exhausted.
6. 5. We have adorned the lower heaven with lanterns, and made them missiles against the devils; and We have prepared for them the punishment of the blaze. 7. 6. For those who reject their Lord, there is the torment of Hell. What an evil destination! 8. 7. When they are thrown into it, they will hear it roaring, as it seethes. 9. 8. It almost bursts with fury.
10. Every time a batch is thrown into it, its keepers will ask them, “Has no warner come to you? ” 11. 9. They will say, “Yes, a warner did come to us, yet we disbelieved, and said, ‘God did not send down anything; you are very much mistaken. ’” 12. 10. And they will say, “Had we listened or reasoned, we would not have been among the inmates of the blaze. ” 13. 12. As for those who fear their Lord in secret —for them is forgiveness and a great reward. 14. 13. Whether you keep your words secret, or declare them —He is Aware of the inner thoughts. 15. 14. Would He not know, He Who created? 16. He is the Refined, the Expert. 17. 15. It is He who made the earth manageable for you, so travel its regions, and eat of His provisions. 18. To Him is the Resurgence.
19. 16. Are you confident that the One in heaven will not cause the earth to collapse beneath you as it spins? 20. 17. Or are you confident that the One in Heaven will not unleash against you a violent storm? 21. Then you will know what My warning is like.
22. 18. Those before them also denied the truth; and how was My disapproval? 23. 19. Have they not seen the birds above them, spreading their wings, and folding them? 24. Nothing holds them up except God the Compassionate. 25. He is Perceiver of everything.
26. 20. Or who is this who is a force for you to protect you against the Compassionate? 27. The disbelievers are in nothing except delusion.
28. 21. Or who is this that will provide for you, if He withholds His provision? 29. Yet they persist in defiance and aversion.
31. 22. Is he who walks bent on his own design better guided, or he who walks upright on a straight path? 32. 23. Say to them, “It is He who produced you; and made for you the hearing, and the vision, and the organs. 33. Yet rarely do you give thanks. ”
34. 24. Say to them, “It is He who scattered you on earth, and to Him you will be rounded up. ” 35. 25. And they say, “When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful? ” 36. 26. Say to them, “Knowledge is with God, and I am only a clear warner. ”
37. 27. Yet when they see it approaching, the faces of those who disbelieved will turn gloomy, and it will be said to them, 38. “This is what you used to call for. ”
39. 28. Say to them, “Have you considered?
40. Should God make me perish, and those with me; or else He bestows His mercy on us; who will protect the disbelievers from an agonizing torment? ”
41. 29. Say to them, “God, He is the Compassionate. 42. We have faith in Him, and in Him we trust. 43. Soon you will know who is in evident error. ”
44. 30. Say to them, “Have you considered? 45. If your water drains away, who will bring you pure running water? ”
The Pen CHAPTER ONE Divisions 1-45 THE PEN 68: 1 - 68: 52 1. 1. Noon. By the pen, and by what they inscribe. 2. 2. By the grace of your Lord, you are not insane. 3. 3. In fact, you will have a reward that will never end. 4. And you are of great moral character.
4. 5. You will see, and they will see. 6. which of you is the afflicted. 5. 7. Your Lord knows best who has strayed from His path, and He knows best the well-guided.
6. 8. So do not obey the deniers. 7. 9. They would like you to compromise, so they would compromise.
8. 10. And do not obey any vile swearer, 11. or backbiter, or spreader of slander. 9. 12. Or preventer of good, or transgressor, or sinner 13. that is rude and fake besides. 14. just because he has money and children. 10. 15. When Our Verses are recited to him, he says, “Myths of the ancients! ” 11. 16. We will brand him on the muzzle.
12. 17. We tested them, as We tested the owners of the garden, when they vowed to harvest it in the morning. 18. Without any reservation. 13. 19. Yet a calamity from your Lord went around it while they slept. 20. And in the morning it was as if the garden had been picked. 14. 21. In the morning, they called to one another. 22. “Go early to your plantation, if you are going to harvest. ” 15. 23. So off they went, murmuring to one another. 24. “No poor person is to enter it upon you today. ” 16. 25. And early they went, resolved in intent. 26. Yet when they saw it, they said, “We were wrong. 27. We are now deprived. ”
17. 28. The most reasonable of them said, “Did I not say to you, ‘if only you would glorify? ’” 18. 29. They said, “Glory to our Lord—We were indeed in the wrong. ”
19. 30. Then they turned to one another, blaming one another. 20. 31. They said, “Woe to us—we were indeed domineering. 21. 32. Perhaps our Lord will give us a better substitute for it. 22. We are turning to our Lord. ”
23. 33. Such is the punishment; yet the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew. 24. 34. For the righteous are Gardens of Delight with their Lord.
25. 35. Shall We treat the Muslims like the villains? 26. 36. What is the matter with you? 27. How do you judge?
28. 37. Or do you have a scripture that you study in 38. wherein there is whatever you choose?
29. 39. Or do you have oaths from Us, binding until the Day of Resurrection, that you will have whatever you demand? 30. 40. Ask them, which of them will guarantee that.
31. 41. Or do they have partners? 32. Then let them produce their partners, if they are truthful.
33. 42. On the Day when the Shin will be exposed, and they will be called to bow down, yet they will be unable.
34. 43. Their eyes subdued, shame will cover them. 35. They were invited to bow down when they were sound.
36. 44. So leave Me to those who reject this discourse; We will proceed against them gradually, from where they do not know. 37. 45. And I will give them respite. 38. My plan is firm. 39. 46. Or do you ask them for a fee, so they are burdened with debt? 40. 47. Or do they know the future, and so they write it down?
41. 48. So wait patiently for the Decision of your Lord, and do not be like the Fellow of the Fish who cried out in despair. 42. 49. Were it not for his Lord’s favor that reached him, he would have been thrown into the wilderness, fully despised. 43. 50. Yet his Lord chose him, and made him one of the righteous.
44. 51. Those who disbelieve almost stab you with their glances when they hear the message, and say, “He is crazy! ” 45. 52. Yet it is no less than a reminder to all the Worlds.
the Reality CHAPTER ONE Divisions 1-40 THE REALITY 69: 1 - 69: 52 1. 1. The Reality. 2. 2. What is the Reality? 3. 3. What will make you understand what the Reality is?
4. 4. Thamood and Aad denied the Catastrophe. 5. 5. As for Thamood, they were annihilated by the Overwhelming. 6. 6. And as for Aad; they were annihilated by a furious, roaring wind. 7. 7. He unleashed it upon them for seven nights and eight days, in succession. 8. You could see the people tossed around, as though they were stumps of hollow palm-trees. 9. 8. Can you see any remnant of them?
10. 9. Then Pharaoh came, and those before him, and the overturned cities steeped in sin. 11. 10. Yet they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with an overpowering grip. 12. 11. When the waters overflowed, We carried you in the cruising ship. 12. To make it a lesson for you—so that retaining ears may retain it.
13. 13. Then, when the Trumpet is sounded a single time. 14. And the earth and the mountains are lifted up, and crushed, with a single crush. 15. On that Day, the Event will come to pass. 14. 16. And the heaven will crack; so on that Day it will be frail.
15. 17. And the angels will be ranged around its borders, while eight will be carrying the Throne of your Lord above them that Day. 16. 18. On that Day you will be exposed, and no secret of yours will remain hidden.
17. 19. As for him who is given his book in his right hand, he will say,
“Here, take my book and read it. 18. 20. I knew I would be held accountable. ”
19. 21. So he will be in pleasant living. 22. in a lofty Garden. 20. 23. Its pickings are within reach.
21. 24. It will be said to him, “Eat and drink merrily for what you did in the days gone by. ”
22. 25. Yet as for him who is given his book in his left hand, he will say,
“I wish I was never given my book. 26. And never knew what my account was. 23. 27. If only it was the end. 24. 28. My money cannot avail me. 25. 29. My power has vanished from me. ”
26. 30. “Take him and shackle him, 31. then scorch him in the blaze. 27. 32. Then in a chain which length is 70 cubits tie him up, 33. for he would not believe in God the Great. 28. 34. Nor would he advocate the feeding of the destitute. 35. so he has no friend here today. 29. 36. And no food except scum 37. which only the sinners eat. ”
30. 38. Indeed, I swear by what you see. 39. And by what you do not see. 40. It is the speech of a noble messenger. 31. 41. And it is not the speech of a poet—little do you believe. (a poet would write their work) 32. 42. Nor is it the speech of a soothsayer—little do you take heed.
33. 43. It is a revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 34. 44. Had he falsely attributed some statements to Us, 45. We would have seized him (the messenger) by the right arm. 46. Then [slashed] [darkened] his [lifeline] [right eye. ] 35. 47. And none of you could have restrained Us from him.
36. 48. Surely, it is a message for the righteous. 37. 49. And We know that some of you will reject it. 38. 50. And that it is surely a source of grief for the unbelievers. 39. 51. Yet it is the absolute truth. 40. 52. So glorify the name of your Lord, the Magnificent.
the Path of the the Climb (up Jacob's Ladder) CHAPTER ONE Divisions 1-30 Concerning the Cave of Plato THE PATH OF THE ASCENT 70: 1 - 70: 44 1. 1. A questioner questioned the imminent torment 2. For the disbelievers; none can repel it. 2. 3. From God, Lord of the Ways of Ascent 4. unto Him the angels and the Spirit ascend on a Day the duration that is 50, 000 years. 3. 5. So be patient, with sweet patience.
4. 6. They see it distant. 7. yet We see it near. 5. 8. On the Day when the sky will be like molten brass. 9. and the mountains will be like tufted wool. 6. 10. No friend will care about his friend.
7. 11. They will be shown each other. (the righteous and the unrighteous) 8. The criminal wishes he would be redeemed from the punishment of that Day by his children. 12. And his spouse, and his brother. 13. And his family that sheltered him. 14. And everyone on earth, in order to save him. 9. 15. By no means! 10. It is a Raging Fire. 11. 16. It strips away the scalps. 12. 17. It invites him who once turned his back and fled. 18. and that accumulated and hoarded.
13. 19. Man was created restless. 14. 20. Touched by adversity, he is fretful. 15. 21. Touched by good, he is ungenerous. 22. Except the prayerful, 23. them who are constant at their prayers. 16. 24. And those in whose wealth is a rightful share. 25. for the beggar and the deprived.
17. 26. And those who affirm the Day of Judgment. 27. And those who fear the punishment of their Lord. 18. 28. Their Lord’s punishment is not to be taken for granted (lightly).
19. 29. And those who guard their chastity. 30. Except from their spouses or those living under their control, for then they are free of blame. 19. 31. Yet whoever seeks to go beyond that—these are the transgressors.
20. 32. And those who honor their trusts and their pledges, 33. And those who stand by their testimonies. 21. 34. And those who are dedicated to their prayers, 35. these will be honored in Gardens.
22. 36. What is with those who disbelieve, stretching their necks towards you, 37. from the right, and from the left, banding together? 23. 38. Is every one of them aspiring to be admitted into a Garden of Bliss? 24. 39. No indeed! We created them from what they know.
26. 40. I swear by the Lord of the Easts and the Wests, that We are able, 41. to replace them with better than they, and We are not to be outdone.
27. 42. So leave them to blunder and play, until they meet their Day that they are promised. 28. 43. The Day when they will emerge from the tombs in a rush, as though they were hurrying towards a target. 29. 44. Their eyes cast down; overwhelmed by humiliation.
