SEASONS

1. There are four seasons in a year: Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

2. Spring is warm and green. In Spring the leaves in the trees are small and green. The grass is green too.

3. It’s warm and sunny in Spring. I usually enjoy the first spring flowers in the parks and gardens.

4. Summer comes after Spring. Summer is hot and bright.

5. The sun shines brightly. Summer is the warmest season of the year.

6. In Summer children have their longest holidays. They swim and sunbathe. They have a lot of fun in Summer.

7. There are usually a lot of fruit and vegetables in Autumn. The weather is cool and rainy. The trees are green, yellow and red. All colours are present.

8. Winter comes after Autumn. It is the coldest season of the year.The weather is frosty. It often snows in Winter.

9. Children like to make snowmen and play snowballs, ski and skate, sledge and play hockey.

My Day

1. I usually get up at ___________o’clock in the morning, but on Sunday I like to get up later.

2. Then I do morning exercises, wash my face and hands and clean my teeth.

3. I like (don’t like) to take a shower in the morning.

4. I have breakfast at _________o’clock.

5. I go to school at 10 o’clock. It takes me half an hour to get from my home to Lycee.

6. Every day we have 5 or 6 lessons. They are Russian, Maths, Literature, History, English, Nature Study, PE, Handicraft, Music, Design and others.

7. English is three times a week: on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

8. I usually have dinner at school at 1 o’clock.

9. After classes I go home. I usually come home at_______.

10. In the evening I like to read books, watch TV, go for a walk or( play chess).

6. It is the most favourite holiday all over the world. Christmas is celebrated on the 25^th of December.

7. Santa Claus comes at night and puts presents into the stockings.

8. People usually give a lot of presents to their dearests and nearests.

9. Russian people celebrate this holiday on the 7^th of January.
