My English Classroom

FOOD

1. People cannot live without food.

2. People usually have three meals a day: breakfast, dinner and supper.

3. For breakfast we usually eat porridge and eggs, drink coffee or tea.

4. Some people drink tea with milk. It’s called English tea. Others drink tea with lemon- Russian tea. I like ___________________ tea best.

5. For dinner we usually eat soup and meat or fish with potato or spaghetti.

6. In the evening it’s good to eat chicken with vegetables and drink tea or juice.

7. Where does our food come from? Meat comes from cows. Eggs come from birds. Milk comes from cows too.

8. From milk people make cheese and butter. From plants we get fruit and vegetables.

9. Remember to eat the right food! Remember the proverb: “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”

10. Eat a lot of fruit and vegetables and drink milk and juice!

11. I’d like to recite a poem “Some of us”

Some of us like brown bread

Some of us like white.

Some of us eat a lot of meat.

Some don’t think it’s right.

Some of us like apples.

Some drink juice at night.

Some of us eat a lot of sweets.

Some don’t think it’s right.

ANIMALS

1. I know many different animals. They can be wild and domestic.

2. Tigers, cheetahs, lions, kangaroos, bears, tortoises, pandas, crocodiles are wild animals.

3. Cats, dogs, parrots, hamsters, rabbits are domestic animals.

4. Domestic animals are often called pets.

5. Many families in Russia and Great Britain have got pets.

6. People take good care of their pets. They give them nice food to eat.

7. I want to tell you about elephants. They are grey and sometimes white.

Elephants live in Africa and Asia.
An elephant has got a very long nose-a trunk and two long white teeth - tusks.
Elephants eat a lot of food. They eat leaves, grass and fruit.
Elephants drink a lot of water. They love water.
Elephants help men to work. I like these animals.

13. I’ d like to recite a poem “My Dog”

I’ve got a dog.

His name is Jack.

His head is white.

His nose is black.

I take him out every day.

Such fun we have.

We run and play.

Such clever tricks my dog can do.

I love my dog!

He loves me too.

My English Classroom

1. I am a pupil of the 4^th form. I study at the Lycee.

2. It is very interesting to go to the Lycee but it isn’t easy to study there.

3. Our Lycee is not very big. There are 15 classrooms in it.

4. I’d like to tell you about my English classroom.

5. My classroom is neither big nor small. It is very comfortable and always clean.

6. There are ten desks in it. The teacher’s table is near the window.

7. There are 4 windows in my classroom which are white as is the door.

8. On the windows you can see many beautiful plants.

9. There are nice pictures on the walls and you can see a big, yellow bookcase to the left of the door.

10. There are many books in it and some of them are very interesting.

11. We have our English lessons in this classroom. We do a lot of things at English: read, translate, do exercises, learn poems by heart, sing English songs, play different games and many others.

12. I love learning English.
