I study at Arkhangelsk College of Culture and Art.It was founded in 1946. In 2021 [twenty-twenty one] the Collegewillcelebrate its 75 [seventy-fifth]anniversary. There are seven departments in our College. I study at the Department of Social ['səuʃ(ə)l] and Cultural ['kʌlʧərəl] Activities (at the Library['laɪbrərɪ] Science['saɪəns]Department)

(at the Department of Painting). I am a second-year student. I am a full-time student.

There are classrooms, studios and halls in the college. Students can also enjoy a library, café [kæ'feɪ] and gym.

I live in the hostel (with my parents). It takes me 45 minutes to get to the College on foot (by bus). I go to the College six days a week. I like to study. My favourite lesson is … The most difficult lesson is …

I study at Arkhangelsk College of Culture and Art. It is located in the centre of Arkhangelsk, at 93-95, Troitskiy Avenue (Loginov Street or Gaydar Street bus-stop).

The history of our College began in 1946, when Nenets Okrug Cultural and Education School was opened in Naryan-Mar. In 1955 [nineteen fifty-five] the School was moved to Arkhangelsk. In those days there were two departments in the School – theatre and choral. In 2021 [twenty-twenty one] the Collegewillcelebrate its 75 [seventy-fifth]anniversary.

Nowadays there are seven departments in our College. They are:

(1) the Department of Painting (Fine Arts)

(2) the Department of Applied and Decorative Arts

(3) the Department of Social ['səuʃ(ə)l] and Cultural ['kʌlʧərəl] Activities

(4) the Library['laɪbrərɪ] Science['saɪəns]Department

(5) the Theatre Department

(6) the Department of Choreography [ˌkɔrɪ'ɔgrəfɪ]

(7) the Department of Design

Unfortunately the Choral and Folk Orchestra Departments do not exist anymore.

Describe your case! J I study at the Department of Department of Social and Cultural Activities. I entered the College in 2020. Now I am a second-year student.

Facilities [fə'sɪlətɪz] at the college include2 buildings.

The building number one has a big Concert Hall with a large lobby ['lɔbɪ]. Students’ drawing and paintings exhibitions take place in the lobby.

There is a conference hall, library, and cafeteria [ˌkæfə'tɪərɪə] in the building. At the library we can read encyclopaedias [ɪnˌsaɪklə'piːdɪəz], textbooks, magazines, and newspapers. Students may also borrow books to study at home.

In the building number two there are drawing and paintings studios, handcraft workrooms, rehearsal halls, and a number of classrooms. There is a café [kæ'feɪ], gym and wardrobe ['wɔːdrəub].

Describe your case! J I am a part-time student. During the residential sessions I live in the hostel in Dzerzhinskiy Street (I stay at my friends/relatives place). It takes me 45 minutes to get to the College on foot.I often (usually/ never) go to the College by bus. I go to the College six days a week. We have … lessons daily.
