4. Your friend is going to visit the USA, advise him/her how to behave and treat the Americans.
When you travel to any country it’s important to know how to behave there. Having a basic understanding of culture and etiquette['etɪket] helps avoid awkward misunderstandings.
First of all, Americans are welcoming. People say hello or smile at you all the time. Smiles are basic signals of politeness, a non-verbal way of being friendly. Americans don’t judge others by their appearance as long as they don’t violate rules. Eye contact is important, especially in a formal setting. It means you are paying attention to a speaker. Americans appreciate their privacy. They would not like to be asked how much money they make. This is seen as an invasion of privacy ['praɪvəsɪ],['prɪ-] and rather rude. Americans like their personal space and stand about 2 feet apart when talking. Eating etiquette is different. People do not share dishes together although they may have food at the same time around a table.
Knowing these simple rules will make the journey more pleasant.

5. How would you describe Belarusian people?
I think tolerance is one of the typical features of the Belarusian people. In all historic epochs the main features of our people have been sincere loveand respect towards their native land.
Belarusians are welcoming and hospitable. We have a strong sense of community. Our people are always ready to share everything with neighbors.
Belarus has suffered a lot throughout its history. Optimism and humor are the qualities that have allowed the generations of our compatriots [kəm'pætrɪəts] to survive.
