Sample answer

Hi Josie,

Thanks for your email. It sounds like you had a very busy weekend! I had a really good weekend, too.

On Saturday morning I went into town with Mum and we did the weekly shopping. Mum got back from work late on Friday and was really tired, so I thought I would help her with the shopping. It was a bit boring, but we went for a coffee at that new café in town afterwards.

In the afternoon, I met Sandie and Jim and we went ice-skating. It was such good fun! I fell over a few times,, but I am getting better. I really like ice-skating.

In the evening, I went to Mari’s house and we watched a film on TV. We ordered a pizza and we ate it while we were watching the film.

On Sunday, I saw my older brother Mick and we took the dogs for a walk. It had been raining and the dogs got very dirty. So after the walk we had to give them a wash.

It was great!

Best wishes,

Patrick
