Hi everyone

How are you all? I’m sorry I didn’t write when we arrived, but we’re so busy here and there are so many interesting things to do.

Australia is fantastic: the weather, the food, the people, the beaches, the desert and everyone speaks English!! We stayed in a hotel in Sydney for two weeks when we arrived because we didn’t know where we wanted to live. Matthew was very happy because there was a swimming pool in the hotel and I was very happy because the food was excellent. John didn’t like the hotel because it was very big and Sophie cried every day because she was homesick.

Now we have a house near Bondi Beach. Every day the children go swimming in the sea and John goes sailing every Sunday. Sophie also goes to an aerobics class and I have a private teacher for tennis so we’re all very fit now.

John works at home on his laptop computer every day and the children go to the local school. Matthew is very happy there and has some new friends, but Sophie misses her friends in England. I know it’s difficult for her. I want to find a job too, so I can meet more people.

The Australians are very friendly and open. Our neighbours invited us to a barbecue last week and we enjoyed some good Australian food. They eat a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables and fish. Everything is so healthy. I love it, but John wants more English food (can you believe it?! ) and Matthew only wants fast food.
