STRANGE PLACE

This is the story about a girl. The girl’s name is Sonya. She is seventeen years old. Sonya was a naughty and not so pretty girl when she was young. But now, she, the most beautiful girl in her town. She became honest, kind, but sometimes very sad person.

You asked: ”Why, she was sometimes very sad? ”

I tell you: “She wants to know much more as it possible”.

But in the Sunnytown there are not so many education facilities. Sunnytown it’s the place where the girl lives.

It was the Sunday morning. And Sonya walked along the street and read the book (as usual). She always reads a book when she gets a free time. She wants to be a student of the University. Sonya wants to be a teacher. Her legs walked step by step along the road and she didn’t know how she walked to the strange place. Town’s road became a grass. Air, became more fresh. There are no high-buildings everywhere. She looked around her and she didn’t know “What is it place? ” “Where is she now? ” There was a wood near the girl. There was a lot of butterflies and birds there. The wood was a really strange. Leaves on the trees was blue, not green. Birds were strange too. There were so small as flowers. Their singing was amazing. Butterflies which flew everywhere were black and white only.

“Such a strange place! ” - Thought the girl. – “And where am I? I don’t know” – Said she and looked forward.

There she saw a path. Sonya decided to go to this path, and moved on. Soon, she saw a lake, who was after the wood. The lake was a strange too. Water of this lake was pink, not blue as usual.

“Strange, really strange” – Thought the girl.

She decided to go closer to this strange lake, and look on it. The lake looks like a big mirror, and it had a strange smell. She sniffed it. Sonya felt that she wanted to drink from this lake. Her mind was charmed. And she shoved her hand in the water. Suddenly she felt a strong bite, and she yelled. Her mind became her own at that time. Shaking her hand she saw something terrible in the water. The girl was scared. Her hand was bleeded. The blood was dropping on the grass. And what a strange thing, Sonya saw that the blood’s drops flew down into the lake’s water. Then the girl understood, why the lake’s water was pink. Sonya decided to went out from this lake. She ran above the path as quick as it possible. But she saw around nothing beside grass and wood. She stopped.

“Strange place. Really strange place, here. ” - She thought.

- “Hi sweety! ” - Said the voice.

The girl turn around and saw a Thing. The Thing was a small one. One pond high. On a small beautiful face there was a big blue eyes, and a small mouth. The Thing was put on with a strange clothes. Looks like a small leaves. The Thing had a big wings. It flew all the time.

- “Who are you? ” – Asked Sonya.

- “I’m Droppy. ” – Said the Thing.

- “What is this place? ” – Asked the girl looking around.

- “This place called the Woodland. ” – Answered Droppy.

- “The Woodland? ” – Said Sonya and added. – “How strange, there is no people here, why? ”

- “There is no people in here, that’s true. I live here of my own. ” – Said Droppy to the girl.

- “And there are no hauses in this land? ”

- “No, there are. There are only grass, trees and lake here. ” – Answered the Thing.

- “Strange, really strange! ” – Said Sonya thoughtfully. – “And what are you doing in the Woodland? ” – Asked the girl.

- “I’m saving lives here. ” – Said Droppy.

- “And how you do that? ”

- “Usually I meet a stranger and show him this place. Then I give him a tea and he fall asleep. That’s all. ” - Answered the strange person. - “Do you want it? ” – With the best hope, asked Droppy to the girl.

Several minutes passed after that question, then Sonya said: “No, she didn’t want it. ” She wanted to know, how get back to her home. Only this thought was troubled her mind.

- “How can I get back to my home from here? ” – Asked she.

- “You must go through that door. ” – Droppy shown her small arm the way.

Sonya looked forward and saw a mirror. The mirror was unusual. A frame of this mirror was a big life snake with red eyes. In the middle of that mirror was a little storm. Sonya was afraid of this. But there was nothing to do, she must to get home. And she started to go to that door. Suddenly she felt that somebody held her hand very tight. The girl looked back and saw the Droppy. Now she was fool of anger. Her dress became red. It looked like streams of blood. Droppy held the girl’s hand where was the bite. Sonya felt how her blood flew away from her. Suddenly she pushed her away and stroke her to her face. When Droppy was fell, our brave girl ran away from her to the mirror. Without any fear she jumped through that door and soon she saw …

Sonya saw her native town with it’s buildings, roads, cars, streets, trees and one important things – the people. She was smiled.

- “At last, I’m home! ” – She said to herself.
