Hello everyone, I am JNMM and today I will teach you to extract textures of Standar Models.

What will we need?
PAC Editor by eatrawmeat391
BPE Editor by eatrawmeat391
Some image editor of your choice
TimViewer (Optional)
Intermediate Logic (Recommended) XD

This tutorial I think it was already posted by NMCM, but this is more with a style of its own, it may not differ much. But may be useful XD. Now let's start

1. Use CDmage to decompress one of the Pacs found. These are the meanings of the most relevant.
C2. Pac = Menu, Arenas, Font, Etc.
CAW. pac = Signs, CAW Menu texture
ED1B. pac = Standard Body Textures
ED1H. pac = Standard Head Textures
ED1L. pac = Standard Lower Textures
ED2. pac = Caw Textures
Etc.

We will work with ED1H. pac.

2. Open ED1H. pac with pac editor, and find the pac you want using this index made by NMCM.

2. 1 To find the texture you are looking for you can do 2 things. Count or decompress everything.
Counting works for models with low numbers. In this case we will use a low number. The rock. Shade 2.

3. The Rock Shade 2, is the model number 2 in PAC editor. So it only counts. 0000 is shade 1. so 0001 is shade 2. with which we will work.

4. Export the model (0001. pac) and re opens it with pac editor.
You can come across these 2 types of models.
Those who have long hair, or some extension. (Example Edge, Cristian, Essa Rios, Etc. )
Or those that are normal moelos. (The Rock, Big Boss Man, Steven Richards, Etc)

4. 1 Depending on the model you extract the file.
Long Hair:
file00000. emd
file00001. emd
file00002. 069
file00003. pac (extract this)

No long Hair:
file00000. emd
file00001. pac (extract this)

The rock is a model without long hair. So you will have the second composition.

5. Extract the said file depending on the model. in this case file00001. pac

6. Once you've extracted that file open it with Pac editor.

7. That file contains the textures of The Rock.

8. The textures will appear in bpe format. For that uses BPE tool, and decompresses the folder in a new folder. (That was a cool function that added eatrawmeat391 to the tool XD )

9. Once the textures are decompressed. You can do 2 things.
B) Rename the extension to. Tim (File000001. tim)
A) Or use TimViewer.

I recommend using TimViewer.

10. Now let's apply the logic
Use TimViewer to unzip all textures.

11. Create a template by joining all the textures, so that it is convenient for you to edit it. This is not necessary, but it is highly recommended if you do not want to make disconcordant textures.

Once the new textures have been edited. See my tutorial on how to make textures suitable for importing with OPTPIX IMAGEN STUDIO.

There is a Tim plugin for photoshop. But for me it makes it easier for me to import and create the textures with that program.

12. Remember that all textures share the same palette. So if they have different palettes, they will look very bad. Using advanced logic you can know how to import all the textures with the same color palette. (Maybe do a tutorial on how I do it, comment or send me a PM if you want me to do it )

Read all the steps in the tutorial. Even the one that is to repair the images using a method to fix the alpha in ps2. Be able to adapt it to ps1. If you do not do that tutorial, the textures will appear distorted.

13. Import all textures again. But do not convert them into BPE. Imports the directly decompressed textures.

14. An error will appear in CDmage, because the new pac will weigh more than the original, but that does not matter now, just to give a preview to your model.

15. He imports everything, with the help of advanced logic.
It does not have much science, since it is only to return the files to its place.

16. Try your new model. If you have problems now is more sensitive.
Remember that your textures are decompressed? Now thanks to that to make adjustments in the model, just simply open the 0001. pac with timviewer. Or even better just open the ED1H. pac with timviewer. And ready! You can make any adjustments you want.

17. Your model is ready, it is no longer a WIP and for you it is more than good. great! Now we are going to give final touches.

We will reduce your weight with the help of BPE Tool.

18. Unzip all new PAC textures. Uses BPE Tool and re compresses all textures. Re import all new textures into BPE.

Now it's ready!

FAQ:
1. Why do not I explain everything?
Because you must apply the logic. If your logic is very bad, I do not know what you're doing here.

2. Why is it so short?
Because there is not much to do.

3. I answer questions by PM?

4. Why is it not illustrated?

This is from an excel data sheet put together by an aspiring modder. The colors/numbers range from 1-4 which is the equivalent to pale/tan/brown/black.

Superstar #Ids: This is the order for all ED1H, ED1L, ED1B)

Count 4 for every wrestlers (excluding the ones with only one solid color).

Guide to SD2 Modding

Credit goes to Wiserommer and his GHQ site, and Proto for making the Tut.

1. Extract the pac files you wan to edit, use Cdmage

Ed2: Caw Parts
C2: Arena, superstar pics, misc
Dent: Items, belts
CAW: Signboards

2. How to export and edit textures by using Timviewer

Create a folder like Ed2_tims and put the pac file there (important).
Now scan the pac file(ed2 or c2 or dent,... )

After the scan is finished save them, if there are over 1200 textures you can save only some or all. Do you want all then 1-??? (the last nummber)

Note: It will also save the log called timextracts, don't delete there is information of the offsets where the textures are located.

Select the folder where you saved the tims and convert them to bmp, you dont need any tim plugin then

When you edit the textures, don't forget to change the mode to rpg!!

After the texture is finished change the mode back to Indexed

Colours: 16!! (not more otherwise the texture wont be appear)
Forced: Black white
Options: Everything none

... If you are editing Tights or Pants the other parts must have the same colours
What to do?... you save the colour table
example: undertaker_tights. act

Open the other parts (front, back, side, right-leg(we edited), left leg)

Now load the colour table (undertaker_tight. act) for the parts front, back, side, left leg

Attention: All parts must have the same colour table

After you finished this, save..
if it shows something with bits just click on 4bit and OK

Hey, if you followed the tutorial you are finished with modding

2. Import

You need to convert the bmp back to tim, select the folder where all the bmp/tims are(also your edited bmp)

When the converting is finished click on File> Insert Tim and select the timextract. log(in the same main folder where the tims are)
It will import all textures to pac

OK, this is my Tutorial on Move Making for Smackdown 2. If you don't know who I am, I've been hacking for awhile now. I use a CDX 3. 3 to hack without any hacking device for now. General:
The first thing you have to do before you make a move is go into create a wrestler/moves then go and look at the moves with the grid floor. You need to watch where the move goes next to the grid. For example if one move ends near the middle and the second one ends near the top, you know they won't combine very good. Some moves will absolutely will not fit together, some however will fit perfect. Also all moves must be loaded during the match start meaning the moves you have chosen to combine must be in the move set of the wrestlers in the match. I can't stress more to look at the grid, Thats how I figured out my Vertabreakers. Also concerning top rope moves, the main reason some people say they work and some say they don't is from what I believe, depends on where the opponent is the number of frames change.

Basic Code:
This is the simple code! If you are reading this you should of seen this but I'm gonna break it down. Ok you need to remember this part of the codes;
BA2 - Player 1
C66 - Player 2
D2A - Player 3
DEE - Player 4
Now those are the players codes, the next is the main code for making moves;

*** = Player Code!

$$$$ = Frame Rate!
Now you must do those lines of codes for who will need to need to do the move change while doing it and/or recieving it. If only 1 player needs the move change while doing a move but the person receiving it, then you only need three lines(look at my Xtreme Factor) but if 1 player needs the move change and the receiving wrestler needs a move change too then you will need that code 2 to 4 times depending how many wrestlers you want doing it.

Advance Code:
Timing is one of the key parts to making codes! Very simular to the first lines of code except your changing the time frame instead of the move.

Once again the same basic rules apply as to the Basic Code. The one problem that people have is if they go to do the second move they keep repeating for some move, that where my next section comes in.

Modifiers:
Ok, I was trying to think how to do a frame change but not have the second move repeat if you just do the second move! Then it came to me, we need a modifier that goes on and off at the right time!! There is several things you can modify in smackdown for it but usually I use B5976 ####(size) which is the steps/table size or B59D6 8000/8001, which is steps/table walkthroughable. First you will want to turn it on when you do your first move;

Ok then you will need to turn it off at the change of the second move;

Now if you add those codes to the full code when you do the second move it will act as normally. The best thing is you just need to do it for 1 of the wrestlers doing the move not more than 1. The off for B59D6 is 8000 and on is 8001, the off for B5976 is 1000 and you can choose the on. Here's a full example of this code for player 1 and 2.

The above is an example code so I don't know whether it works but the style works well. Another thing you can do with modifiers is joining more move than 2. All you need to do is add more on, off modifiers. Take a look at my Triple powerbomb for an example. I can give you another if you ask!

Tips:
-- Most moves are made for only player 1 and 2 to make codes longer so thats all you need to know as most should know now how to change the code for 3 and 4 so save your time.
--Both wrestlers don't have to have a move change. Take a look at my Xtreme Factor.
--Both time changes don't have to match.
--Be creative, Don't give up if two moves don't match, try another!
--1 second is about 15 frames in Decimal. Most Game Sharks I believe can switch between Hexidecimal(GS Codes) and Decimal.
--If a move isn't working, try to ask on SmackHacks, Most people Move Makers I find will be willing to help and I am one of them
