Moscow lends Fabergé Imperial Easter eggs for V& A exhibition

Three Imperial Easter eggs created by Carl Fabergé are being lent by Moscow to the UK for the first time as part of an 1) ___ (EXHIBIT) exploring the often overlooked success in London of the tsars’ 2) ___ (FAVOUR)jeweller.

The V& A on Wednesday announced details of anexhibition, opening in November that will display some of the most jaw-3) ___ (DROP) ornaments ever produced. More than 200 objects will go on display, with the show stopper being three eggs lent by Moscow Kremlin Museums. They include the 4) ___ (LARGE)Imperial egg, the Moscow Kremlin egg, which was inspired by the 5) ___ (ARCHTECT) of the Dormition cathedral in the Russian capital.

Faberge's branch in London was the only one outside Russia. The shop in New Bond Street attracted “a global clientele of 6) ___ (ROYAL), aristocrats, business titans and socialites”, they said. The products there were as popular in Britain as in Russia.
