Reading Comprehension: Mrs Brown’s Busy Mornings Read the following passage and then complete the task below: Mrs Brown is a very busy lady. She took her children to school and now she is doing the housework. Mrs Brown has three young children, so she has lots to do every morning while they are at school. She washed all the dirty dishes, cooked lunch and mopped the kitchen floor. Also, she scrubbed the bathroom and put all the dirty clothes in the washing machine. Now, she is downstairs hoovering the carpet, dusting the tables and wiping the windows. She also has to water the plants and take all the rubbish out. Mrs Brown looked at the clock and she only had an hour before she has to pick up her son from nursery. She quickly took the clean clothes out of the dryer, folded them and did the ironing. She finished just in time to put her boots and coat on to fethch her son. As she left, she noticed the grass in the front garden needed mowing, but she wasn’t going to do that! Her husnand Tom is going mow the lawn at the weekend.
