Then I return to my room and put my clothes on. After that, I should have breakfast. I go to the kitchen, where my mother has already cooked sandwiches or porridge for me. At 7. 40 a. m. I leave my home and go to school. It is near my house, and I do not have to hurry. My lessons start at 8 o’clock and finish at 2 or 3 p. m. It depends on a weekday.

After lessons, I return home. When I come home, I have dinner and have a rest for a couple of hours. I play computer games or watch TV. At 5 o’clock, I get down to study again and do my homework. At 7 o’clock all my family has supper. Then I can go for a walk with my friends, read books, or listen to music. When I am tired, I want to sleep and go to bed. I usually do it at about ten o’clock, sometimes at eleven o’clock.

They forget aboutGreenwichVillag e, which is the heart ofthe city. Thisis the area of art, latest fashions, old films, books. It is the exact opposite tothe FifthAvenue and Park Lane.

 

 Harlemis sometimes called Black Manhattan. It is known for its streetlife. It isespeciallyfamous for its musicand jazzclubs. Louis Armstrong andDukeEllington, whowere two of the greatestjazz musicians, first started to playin Harlem.

5. Ben's Hobby

 

Ben’s hobby is playing chess. He is learning to play the game and usually plays with his father. It is difficult to play chess. Ben must know what his father is going to do. When Ben plays chess, he is learning to think. Sometimes Ben plays with his friend John. They play chess in the garden or in John’s house. John plays chess very well and he says it helps him to play football. He sees the playground as he sees the chessboard.

 

6. Shops and shopping in London

 

Oxford Street is one of the biggest and most popular shopping centers in London. Its nice shops and department stores attract people from all over the country and from foreign countries as well. Shops and department stores are open every day until 6 o'clock except for Sundays. If you cannot go shopping during the day, you can make a purchase on Thursday after office hours, as the shops close at 8 o'clock in Oxford Street on that day. There are different kinds of shops in Oxford Street: there are clothes shops and shoe shops, bookshops and dress shops. But many people prefer a department store, as it offers almost everything in one building.

One of the largest department stores in Oxford Street is Selfridge's. It has about 235 different departments. It is a very expensive department store that is why most Londoners have to get to cheaper shops: Marks and Spenser's for clothes and supermarkets for food. Supermarkets have become very popular with shoppers. They sell not only food, but also ready-made clothes, toys and other goods. They are self-service shops.

 

7. Sport in our life

 

Sport is very important in our life. It helps us to keep fit and to be healthy.

The most popular kinds of sport in Russia are football, volleyball, tennis and hockey.

The most popular kinds of sport in Britain are football, cricket and golf. The most popular kinds of sport in the USA are rugby, ice hockey, basketball, baseball, and football. In winter people like skiing, skating, snowboarding and playing hockey. In summer people like swimming, playing football or badminton and jogging.

Many people do morning exercises, jog in the morning, train themselves in different sections and take part in sport competitions. I think PE is a very important subject at college. The students play basketball, volleyball, table tennis and football. My favorite kind of sport is volleyball.

11). There are various types of climate on the territory of Russia. 12). In the south the temperature is usually above zero all year round. 13). The climate of Siberia is continental: summers are hot and dry, winters are very cold.
