Ход мероприятия.

Good afternoon, dear participants! We are very happy to see you today because our party is related to beautiful and favourite holiday in the world - Christmas. Today we have the quest “Christmas in Great Britain”. But, first of all, we’d like you to divide into three teams. Every team is becoming one map with tasks. You have to do it! Let’s start it! We wish you good luck!

Captains, introduce your teams, please.

Are you ready to start? Three, two, one – go!

На станциях команды встречают старшеклассники. У каждой команды свой маршрут (Quest Map – Приложение 1). За каждый верный ответ – 1 Санта Клаус (Приложение 2).

В итоге все команды собираются в первоначальной точке. Та команда, которая прошла все станции первой, получает приз. Остальные команды – грамоты.

Команды отправляются по станциям:

1 станция «Christmas Tree» - необходимо нарядить рождественскую ёлку.

2 станция «Christmas Card» - You have to draw Christmas Card, to write it and to give it to other team. (Приложение 3)

3 станция «Christmas riddles» - Match the riddles with their solutions! (Приложение 4)

(учащиеся раскладывают загадки, находят к ним отгадки и соединяют)

1. What is white and made out of snow? (Snowman)

2. We dream about them before Christmas. (Presents)

3. The place where the English children hang their stockings at night waiting for their presents. (Fireplace)

4. We decorate it with toys, glass balls, sweets, bells. (Christmas tree)

5. It is a thing which is very dear to children at Christmas, as they find presents in it in the morning. (Stocking)

6. It’s a traditional meal which people cook for Christmas party. They think that if they all take part in mixing it, they will be happy. (Pudding)

7. What do you get if you cross a Christmas tree with an apple? (A pineapple)

8. What do snowmen have for breakfast? (Snowflakes. )

9. What thing is the children’s favourite at Christmas time? (A stocking)

10. A special Christmas song which is sung during Christmas time. (carol)

4 станция – «Jingle Bells». Be attentive, please! You will listen to an English song and have to guess the name. Let’s sing! (учащиеся поют песню).

5 станция – «Christmas puzzle». You can see a Christmas puzzle. Find 8 words on the topic “Christmas” (Приложение 5)
