Vasily Alexandrovich Sukhomlinsky (1918-1970)-Soviet educator-innovator, writer, founder of folk pedagogy. Having worked all his life in an ordinary rural school, he managed to turn it into a unique laboratory for the development of innovative teaching methods. After graduating from the village school in 1933, Vasily continued his education at the Kremenchug pedagogical Institute In 1941, a young teacher voluntarily went to the front, in the biography of Sukhomlinsky there was a place for a serious injury: during one of the battles for Moscow, a shell fragment grazed his heart, doctors did not give any guarantees that the young man would survive. However, Sukhomlinsky, contrary to all forecasts, went on the mend and subsequently carried a shell fragment in his heart all his life, which surgeons were unable to remove. Over the years, Sukhomlinsky has brought many new ideas to the process of raising children. His pedagogical method was based on the signs of humanism, according to which the highest value was the child's personality. The teacher has always tried to build the educational process in such a way that it brings joy to both sides: the teacher and the student, he has developed a whole set of aesthetic programs " education by beauty". Vasily Alexandrovich became the author of about 30 books and 500 articles devoted to the educational process and training of teenagers. He wrote more than 1, 500 fascinating fairy tales for children, in which he taught them kindness, responsibility and justice. Vasily Alexandrovich died on September 2, 1970, while still a relatively young strong man. The reason for this was a very unfortunate fragment stuck in the heart of an outstanding teacher.
