Possessive Case

The possessive form is used with nouns referring to people, countries, and animals. It shows ownership.

To form the possessive, add apostrophe + s to the noun. . Ex: Peter’s car.

If the noun is plural, or already ends in s, just add an apostrophe after the s– The sailors’ ship

If the noun doesn’t refor to people, animals or countries, we use “of”:
