My grandmother usually e.g. cooks (cook) for the family, but today it 1) (be) her birthday so I 2)     (plan) a special meal for everybody. My grandmother 3) (love) meat so I 4) (make) some delicious meat pies. My father 5) (hate) meat, though, so I 6) (prepare) a nice salad for him.
