DZERZHINSKY DISTRICT

Dzerzhinsky District of Yaroslavl was founded in 1979. Its territory is 43 square kilometres. The population of the district is 170 thousand people. The district consists of 14 micro districts, 4 of which are still under construction. Being the youngest in Yaroslavl, the district has always been the main construction site in the city.

ZAVOLZHSKY DISTRICT

Zavolzhsky District was founded in 1938. Its territory is 65 square kilometres. The district stretches along the Volga for more than 25 km. The population of the district is 114 thousand people.

The district could be divided into 6 main parts:

The micro district of "Rezinotekhnika" plant,
Shevelukha,
Tveritsy,
Krasnoborskji micro district,
Sredny (Middle) and Nizhny (Lower) settlements,
The settlement of Plant № 50.

KIROVSKY DISTRICT

Kirovsky District of Yaroslavl was founded in 1936. The territory of the district is 14 square kilometres, on which 64 thousand people live. Being the central one, Kirovsky District has most of the business, scientific, cultural, sports, industrial and financial centres. The Yaroslavl Regional Administration, the City Council, the State Duma of the Yaroslavl Region and offices are situated here.The district in itself is a large museum complex, the main attraction of which is the Saviour-Transfiguration Monastery. Being situated in the centre of the city, Kirovsky District has many cultural objects, like theatres, concert and exhibition halls, libraries, clubs etc.

KRASNOPEREKOPSKY DISTRICT

Krasnoperekopsky District was founded on March 15, 1936. The territory of the district is 38 square kilometres; its population is 66 thousand people. There are more than 1,000 industrial enterprises, construction and transport companies in the district.
