People don’t double-check the information and, as a result, become the victims of such scams.

A relative in trouble In this type of scam, you get a call from an unknown number, allegedly from a police officer. They tell you that your relative or a close friend is detained, and a decision is currently being made to bring them to criminal or administrative responsibility. After that, they offer their help in exchange for a reward and tell you to transfer money or bring cash to a particular location.
False prize or a payout People often get emails, texts or even phone calls saying that they won a prize or there is some kind of payout for them. In order to receive it, you should fill in personal information and card information. As the result, you are left with neither a prize and nor money.
