Divide the class into groups of two students. One group member reads the links (found on Evernote) of the websites which offer helps on writing a medical correspondence. Whereas, the other student reads the examples again and make notes about their features. Walk around the room to answer if they have any questions with terminology or grammar.
Less Guided Practice (5 minutes) Students, in group, then discuss their findings and come to an agreement on what to include (phrases, terms etc.) and how to organize (letterhead, salutation etc.) this type of correspondence.

Divide the class into a group of three students and assign the weaker student to be the chief editor. The editor in chief creates a link for Etherpad and sends them to other members. Learners then individually write - in sync - one of the three parts of a referral letter using Etherpad. As soon as the chief editor finished writing, the student edits other`s writing and completes the organisation. Afterwards, each editor sends the written work via email to two other groups.
