AN ARTIST has accusedmoviedirector and convictedchildrapist Roman Polanski of taking photos of hernaked on a desertedbeachwearing an open fur coatbeforesexuallymolestingherwhenshewasjust 10-years-old.

Speaking for the first time, Marianne Barnard saidshewasinspired to tell herharrowing story of abuse by actress Rose McGowan and all the otherwomenwhohad come forward and made allegations about shamedmoviemogul Harvey Weinstein.

She has nowlaunched a petition to have disgraced film director Polanski - whoiscurrently on the runfrom the US authorities in Europe afterraping a 13-year-old girl in the seventies - removedfrom the board of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

And shetold Sun Online shehopes by breakingher silence shewill encourage more abuse victims to come forward and istaking part in a campaign on social media called #SilenceIsTheEnemy.

Marianne, an artistfrom Santa Barbara, California, saidshewastaken to meet Polanski at a beach by hermother in 1975, whichiswhen the molestation took place.

“The beachissouth of where a restaurant calledTed’s El Rancho used to be at the bottom of Coastline Drive and Pacific CoastHighwaynearwhere I grew up in Malibu, ” shesaid.

“There was a group of rocks there and hetook the photographs of me on those rocks.

“At first I had the understanding I wasjustgoing to the beachwithmymom. Wewerethere for a littlewhile by ourselves and thenhewasthere. "

Sheadded: “And sheexplainedthatthis man wanted to takepictures of me in this fur coat. I thoughtitwas to go into a magazine or something.

“I had on a bikini and I thoughtthatitwas a modelling shoot - I hadmodelled as a childsothiswasn’t out of the ordinary for me.

“First hewastakingpictures of me in the bikini, thenitwaswith the coatthenhesaidtake off the bikini top, which I wascomfortablewith as I wasonly 10 and I oftenranaroundwith no top on.

“But thenhewanted me to takemy bikini bottoms off - I started to feelveryuncomfortable. Then at some point I realizedmymomhad gone. I don’t know whereshewent and I didn’treallyregisterherleaving but shewas no longer there. Thenhemolested me. ”

Marianne said the abuse had a huge impact on her life - and shestillsuffersfrom post traumatic stress disorder and claustrophobia.

Sherevealedthatwhilere-living the incident has been incrediblydifficult for her - shewasinspired by the strength of the legions of womenwho have spoke of theirexperiences at the hands of moviemogulWeinstein.

“I feltterriblyconflictedthat I have been silent all this time and all thesewomen are bravelycomingforward and I thought to myself I can’t in good consciousknowingwhat I know - and having gone throughwhatI’ve gone through - not speak out.

“Eventhoughitputs me in a verybad - evendangerous position - withmymom and Polanski and other people who are involved - I can’tbesilentany more.

“How do I know therearen’tothervictims? How do I know thathe’s not stilldoingthis? And here I ambeingsilent about it.

“I feltlike I wasn’tdoing the right thing by being quiet and I needed to speak out.

“I wanthim to beexposedsohecannot carry on thisbehaviour.

“I hope if there are anyothervictims out therethattheymay come out and speak about theirexperience and hopefullyfindsomehealing in that.

“And hopefullyhewillbefinallybrought to justice.

“It’s a hugeburden to carry knowingthat I didn’t come forwardearlier - if I didthenmaybehewouldn’t have been able to do whathedid. But I’ve come forwardnow. ”

Marianne has now made an official report with the Los Angeles Police Department’sRobbery-Homicide Division (RHD) sex crimes unit.

And her petition to have Polanski removedfrom the Academy - whichrecentlyrevoked the membership of Weinstein - has alreadyamassed over 10, 000 signatures.

And despite the heartacheshe has facedcomingforward - shewantsothervictims to know thatthereis light at the end of the tunnel.

“I want people whomaybe have never come forward about childsexual abuse to know thatthereishealing, ” Marianne explained.

“You can live an abundant life and youcanheal.

“YesI’llprobablyalways have post traumatic stress and have claustrophobiabeafraid of the dark - there are somethingsthatwillnever go away - but I have come out the otherside of a tremendousamount of darkness and I live a full and healthy life.

“It’s important to speak to a good therapist and I’malsoluckythat I have usedmyartwork as a form of therapytoo. Just rememberthat silence is the enemy. ”

Polanski waschargedwithraping 13-year-old Samantha Geimer back in 1977.

The sexfiend gave hisyoungvictimalcohol and quaaludesbefore the attack, whichtook place at the home of actor Jack Nicholson.

Polanski waschargedwith five crimes - includingrape by use of drugs - but took a plea deal in whichhepleadedguilty to “unlawfulsexual intercourse” in return for prosecutorsdropping the five charges.

He thenfled to Europe the night beforehissentencingafterhearingthat the judgeplanned to reject the plea deal and jailhim.

Polanski has lived in exile eversince - movingbetween France, Poland and Switzerland - and thereisstill a warrant out for hisarrest in the US.

Sincethenthreeotherwomen have since come forward to accuse the firmdirector of sexuallyassaultingthemwhentheywere teenagers.

Britactress Charlotte Lewis accusedPolanksi of “forcing” himself on herwhenshewas 16 in 1982.

And a womannamed as Robin M reported to authorities in Los Angeles Countythatshewassexuallyassaulted by Polanki in 1973 whenshewas 16.

Earlierthismonth a Germanactress Renate Langer, now 61, filed a complaint to SwissauthoritiesaccusingPolanksi of rapingherwhenshewas 15.

The US has been trying to extradite Polanski to face his original five charges - whilemanyattempts have been made to dismiss the case.

Shockingly, Weinstein, who has been accused of sexuallyharassing or abusing over 40 women, came out in defense of Polanski in 2009, claiming: " Whateveryouthink about the so-called crime, Polanski has servedhis time.

" A deal was made with the judge, and the deal is not beinghonored. "
