Health and keeping fit

There is nothing more important than our health – “Health is above wealth”. Sometimes people get ill and have a headache, high temperature, cough and sneeze. When we have problems with health, we go to a doctor and he examines us and prescribes medicine.

If you ask how to keep fit and stay healthy, I can give you a piece of advice. First of all, we should go in for sports, take regular exercises, go jogging, swimming or just ride a bike. Sport helps us to keep fit and become strong. Secondly, we should eat healthy food, eat more fruit and vegetables – “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. To stay healthy, we should wash hands before we eat and take a cold shower. We should never smoke.

As for me, I am a sporty person. I have 2 PE lessons a week and go to the swimming pool once a week. I like playing different sports games such as football and volleyball.

 

 

Task. You are going to give a talk about health and keeping fit. You will have to start in 5 minutes and speak for not more than 2 minutes (10–12 sentences).

 

Remember to say:

· what people do when they are ill;

· what people should do to stay healthy and keep fit;

· what you do to stay healthy and keep fit.

You have to talk continuously.
