I took part in repair and maintenance:

ü Replacing the injectors on the main engine;

ü I took part in the motor cleaning of the main engine cylinders;

ü Cleaning the flanges of the heating system piping, valves replacement;

ü Cleaning of separators, replacement of bearings on separators;

ü Maintained cleanliness and order when working in the engine room;

ü Bunkering process: preparation, safety during bunkering in order to avoid a fire or oil spill, compliance with safety regulations during the process;

I have learned:

ü To maintain the ship's technical facilities in accordance with the rules and instructions established by the manufacturer;

ü Perform a number of repair works, monitor the technical state of the equipment, and troubleshoot hardware problems;

ü To use LSA, start a lifeboat motor, life raft launching devices;

ü Use and distinguish between fire extinguishing equipment, including fire extinguishing equipment in the engine room;

ü Operatively act on alarms, quickly carry out my own actions and instructions of crew members higher on position, and make decisions depending on the situation;

General Alarm: to arrive at my Muster Station and then depending on the type of emergency:

MOB: prepare to start and start the engine of lifeboat to which I am assigned;

Ship abandon: take the place of the life raft on the port side and wait for further instructions;

Firefighting: bring and prepare fire hoses and nozzles for use, close the ventilation shafts, assist the member (members) of the firefighting team.

Carry out work and maintenance:

ü Auxiliary diesel generators, pumps, systems and their servicing machineries;

ü Life-boat engine and the preparation for its start;

ü Oil and fuel separators.

I took part in repair and maintenance:

ü Disassembly, cleaning, replacement of gaskets and assembly of separators, cleaning the casing of separators from sludge;

ü Prevention check of mooring winches: capstan and windlass, oil change, grease;

ü Maintained cleanliness and order when working in the engine room;

ü Replacement of the bearing on the hot water pump;

ü Participation in the mooring operations;

ü Performed the part of the work received from the engineer;

ü Assisted in various works in the ER;

ü Carried out painting works in the engine room;

I have learned to:

ü Maintain ship's technical facilities in accordance with the rules and instructions established by the manufacturer;

ü Perform a number of repair works, preventive equipment checks, to do the troubleshoot of technical equipment;

ü Use and distinguish between fire extinguishing equipment, including fire extinguishing equipment in the engine room;

ü Operatively act on alarms, quickly carry out my own actions and instructions of crew members higher on position, and make decisions depending on the situation;

General Alarm:  arrive at my Muster Station and then depending on the type of emergency:

MOB: prepare the engine of the life boat for start, take part in the life boat launching, fixing its stern line;

Ship Abandon: help the cook to collect water and provisions, take a place next to the life raft on the starboard side and wait for further instructions;

Firefighting: bring and prepare fire hoses and nozzles for use, close the ventilation shafts, assist the member (members) of the firefighting team.

Carry out work and maintenance:

ü Auxiliary diesel generators, pumps, systems and their servicing machineries;

ü Air compressors;

ü Life-boat engines and the preparation for its start;

ü To perform the start and maintenance of the emergency diesel generator;

ü Fuel and oil separators, input and maintenance of the fuel preparation system;

ü Fuel transfer pumps;

ü Took an active part in mooring operations;

ü Portable firefighting equipment and PPA during the work in the ER;

ü Fuel rolling in tanks.
