1) Science has given us many useful things.

2) We launch space shuttles, we watch digital television, we use pin size chips etc.

3) Our houses became smart homes.

4) All the devices are connected into one network.

5) You can turn on the coffee maker from bed, you can use your fingerprints instead of keys.

6) Refrigerators create dinner recipes based on the food inside.

7) Also doctors use nanotechnologies to save lives.

8) They can deliver drugs quicker and can even repair our bones, organs and skin.

9) Cloning is another modern miracle.

10) Scientists clone cows to get better meat and milk.

11) They clone pigs - because we can use their organs.

12) And even clone cats to study AIDS.

13) We use advanced robots to produce goods or to give a helping hand in dangerous situations.

14) And of course we have new means of communication.

15) Thanks to mobile phones and the Internet we can keep in touch with friends and relatives all over the world.

16) On the other hand, modern technologies have some disadvantages.

17) Pollution, malfunctions - like Chernobyl, for example, nuclear weapons etc.

18) But we must remember that science isn’t good or bad.

19) We just should apply it carefully.
