History of the Seminole Wars should not be considered as a history of local conflicts between the United States and the Native Americans. The Seminole Wars had a great impact on the history of Florida, but, at the same time, they were a part of large-scale political processes, in which Native Americans, especially the Seminole people, played very important role. Although in result of the Seminole Wars most of the Seminole people were removed from their native land, but the history of their geroic struggle shows that resistance of Native Americans against Euro-American expansion still was important political factor in the first half of the 19th century.
