We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Software Engineer for Test Automation and system testing to provide an outstanding contribution for a team responsible for Dell EMC Unity platform data path.

Job Description

Our team in St. Petersburg, Russia is working on next generation storage architecture in area Block and File storage access. As part of our team, you will ensure the quality of newly developed components, as well as automated regression testing. Also you will work on essentials of the entire data path functionality, performance profiling and optimization.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

· Defining testing strategy and approaches for new product features.

· Responsible for the execution of procedures for ensuring the quality of new features and releases of software.

· Everyday work on adding new test scenarios, track test cycles execution results.

· Demonstrated skills with developing appropriate test methodologies.

· Responsible for updating methods and procedures to ensure continuous improvement to software quality assurance, serviceability and usability standards.

· Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.

· Isolates, reproduces and tracks bugs and verifies fixes.

· Works with development engineers in resolution of problems.

· Maintains and modifies test environment and configuration as needed, creates new test environments and configurations to meet test cases or problem recreation requirements.

· Documents test results and manages and maintains defect and test case databases to assist in the continuous improvement and modification of software.

· Assists in the assessment and planning of test efforts required for new functions/features under development.

· Determine and develops approach to solutions independently or under only limited direction.

· Work effectively with cross-functional and/or cross-geographic teams, readily share information with others.
