1967 Mercury Cougar GT

The car was introduced in 1967 and its production ran till 1970, after which its second generation came into the market. The 1967 model belonged to the first generation and had 2-door hardtop body style. The GT version launched in 1967 was the sportier variant of the standard Cougar and came with a 390 cubic inch engine, upgraded suspension, bigger wheels, tires and brakes.

Specifications of 1967 Mercury Cougar GT

As mentioned above, the 67 model of the Cougar GT was the sportier version of standard Cougar so it came with extra set of bells and whistles like low restriction exhaust, larger tires and an upgraded suspension. Furthermore, it had a bigger 3990 cubic inch Marauder GT V8 engine with 320hp to boot.

The car had 4-speed manual transmission and came equipped with larger brakes as compared to the standard version. The sporty look coupled with muscular persona made this car very intimidating.
