Historical cultural tour to the oldest towns in the Urals.

The oldest capital of the Urals – Tcherdyn – is situated in the northern point of Perm region and inspires by the beauty of the landscape. It represents the history of the roads to Siberia and the process of the Russian colonization of the Urals. At the same time Tcherdyn is the spiritual centre of the Urals: citizens of Perm region were baptized here, the first churches were also constructed in Tcherdyn. It is a trade centre from which many merchant dynasties came.

The next capital of the Urals – Solikamsk – represents the industrial history of Russia closely connected with salt production. Ancient salterns, or salt wells, can be seen nowadays as well as the old cathedrals and a voyevoda (war leader) house. Solikamsk was the administrative centre on the way to Siberia since 1636. Tcherdyn and Solikamsk also impress by the collections of the museums.
