Dialogue 1:. Exercise: Where are they from? S. is from (country), she/he is (nationality)Dialogue 1: Greta: Where is Helen from? Chantle: She’s from the States. Why? Greta: That’s funny. She sounds British. Chantle: I think her mom is British. Greta: That explains. Chantle: How about Anthony? Where is that guy from? Greta: I’m not sure. France, maybe? He speaks good French.
Dialogue 2: Belinda: Where are Linda and Benny from? Meredith: They’re from Finland. Belinda: They’re Finnish? I thought they were from Mars. I don’t get their weird jokes. Meredith: Unfortunately, the earth is too dangerous for Martians. So they’re just weird, but they’re not from Mars. Belinda: That’s too bad. I could get rich for the discovery.
Dialogue 3: Wayne: What’s up, Wei? Where are you from? Wei: Hey, Wayne. I’m from Taiwan, an island country in Asia. Wayne: Cool! How is the food in Taiwan? Wei: We have really delicious fruits! We also have lots of tasty street foods. Wayne: Awesome! Also, can you show me some nice Taiwanese bands? Wei: Sure thing. After that, let’s hear your favorite Australian bands. How about that?

Odette: Like Holland, we have red and blue on our national flag. Also, people think we love to eat snails. I’m not sure that’s true for me though. 3. Ricardo: People think we all know how to dance Flamingo, but that’s not true at all. 4. Maruco: We borrow many words from English, and Taiwanese borrows many words from us. 5. Caroline: According to research, we’re the happiest country in the world. Answers: 1. Holland/The Netherlands 2. France 3. Spain 4. Japan 5. Denmark PS.
