Dear Mum and Dad

How are you? I’m great. My trip is fantastic.

I visited the Grand Canyon last week. It was great!

The Grand Canyon is in the state of Arizona. Over millions of years the Colorado River cut through the rock and formed the canyon. It is very beautiful.

Istarted my hike on the South Rim. I hiked to the bottom of the canyon to a place called Phantom Ranch. I stayed there overnight. The next day I rode a mule to the top of the canyon. My mule was slow, but I was happy I didn’t have to hike all the way to the top!

I saw a beautiful sunset while I was in the canyon. The sky was yellow, orange and red. I took pictures so I will show you when I get home.

I bought some presents at the Visitors’ Center. I bought a bracelet and a book. I’ll see you next week.
