Hi! My name is Angela. I live in Atlanta

but on my summer holidays I go to my

grandparents’ farm and enjoy my time

there. They live on a big farm in

Greenwood. My grandparents grow

vegetables and keep animals. They have

six horses, five cows, ten pigs, twenty

sheep, four goats, fifty hens and

chickens, eleven geese, twelve ducks,

ten turkeys and two donkeys, three dogs

and a cat. They also have an orchard

with a lot of fruit trees there.

My grandfather John and grandmother Doris are very busy

every day. Life is very interesting there. You have a lot of

things to do every day. John and Doris get up very early and

never stop working before the sun sets. The cows, the

horses and the sheep often pasture in the field nearly all day.

Doris is busy with the poultry. She feeds them twice a day.

She also feeds the dogs and the cat. John works with the

tractor every day. He waters the trees and the plants. They

clean the barn nearly every day. John cuts the grass every

week preparing haystacks for the animals in winter.

I help my grandparents every day. I collect eggs and water the flowers.

I also feed the poultry with my grandmother. But best of all I like to spend my time with my lovely horse. Its name is Starry. It has very clever eyes and a beautiful tail. I often bring it bread. I like to ride Starry every morning. It’s simply great!
