Adverb (Наречие)
Большинство наречий образуется от прилагательных при помощи суффикса -ly:
warm à warmly; polite à politely; wonderful à wonderfully
Обратите внимание на правописание:
terrible à terribly; happy à happily
Исключение: good à well
Различие в употреблении прилагательных и наречий.
· Прилагательные описывают существительные и стоят обычно перед ними. Часто также прилагательные могут стоять после глагола to be:
He has bought a new car. It is modern and fast.
· Наречия обычно описывают действия и стоят после глагола или выражения, обозначающего действие, или перед ним.
She left the room sadly.
They quickly came up to the window.
