VISA AND INSURANCE INFORMATION

FOR students admitted for Erasmus+ or Exchange study stay in the Faculty of Education, University of Hradec Kralove

VISA APPLICATION

You shall apply for VISA FOR A STAY OVER 90 DAYS (LONG-TERM)

Purpose of visa: STUDIES

Check on webpage of Ministry of Interior Czech Republic, which documents are requested to be submitted.

then submit below stated documents with visa application while applying for visa.

These documents are usually requested:

1) Letter of acceptance in Czech and English

Jednotné potvrzení o př ijetí ke studiu/o studiu

(=letter of admission to studies, issued in Czech language)

+Letter of acceptance

(=letter of admission, issued in English language)

Both originals were sent to your home university (IRO) as a visa application package, so ask them for that and then submit originals while applying for visa.

2) Confirmation of sufficient financial means

a) Potvrzení o př idě lení stipendia

(=Proof of scholarship awarding, in Czech language)

-document is the part of visa application package ONLY for students awarded with International Credit Mobility scholarship

b) Confirmation from your bank that you have sufficient financial means to fund your period of stay in the Czech Republic (e. g. copy of your bank account valid in CZ, copy of your internationally recognized credit card of your bank account)

3) Confirmation of guaranteed accommodation in the Czech Republic

Smlouva o smlouvě budoucí /preliminary accommodation contract (before submitting, please sign it), document issued in Czech, confirming your pre-arranged accommodation at the student dormitory of UHK

4) 3 pieces of photographs

-must be 3, 5 x 4, 5 cm size, passport format, face front format

5) Comprehensive Health Insurance

You have to submit your valid health insurance card or copy of contract to prove you have sufficient health insurance, valid in the Czech Republic for whole period of your stay.

You are obliged to buy a Comprehensive Health Insurance for Foreigners, issued by PVZP Insurance company operating in the Czech Republic and eligible for Czech authorities.

It costs approximately 700-1000 CZK per month and will be arranged online, they will send you scanned contract and you submit the copy of it.

6) Confirmation of absence of criminal record in your home country

Document issued by your home authorities must be translated into Czech language (notary certified translation)

7) Passport validity

Note that you have to submit your international passport, while applying for visa, validity of your passport must exceed planned departure of your stay by at least 3 months.

NOTE, that it is extremely important to prepare all requested documents along with visa application.

The documents are judged by the Immigration Police in the Czech Republic.

If something is missing or some document is not translated/provided in Czech language, visa application is to be rejected.

Also, please check all of the terms with your embassy, as the conditions can differ from state to state and it is always better to learn everything they would demand directly from given office.

WITHOUT VISA YOUR STAY IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC WILL BE CONSIDERED ILLEGAL AND YOU ARE AT RISK TO BE REFUSED FROM THE ENTRY!
