· Recognize simple greetings

· Recognize Teacher’s instructions

· Recognise and pronounce basic greetings

· Recognise the main characters.

 

Some learners will be able to:

· recognise and pronounce greetings and names without mistakes;

· Make a short conversation in pairs using basic expressions.

Beginning 5mins  

 

Introduce yourself the class. Say: Hello! I’m …..

Pat a pupil on the shoulder. The pupil introduces him/herself and the rest of the class greet him/her.

Pupil 1: Hello I’m Kanat

Class: Hello. Kanat ect

Encourage the pupils to say Hello!

· Sing a song. Ask pupils to holdup their Smiles. Say: Smile, we`re the smile. Explain what smile means. Play the CD. The pupils(W)

Middle 25mins    

· Pretend that you’re leaving the classroom. Ask the pupils to greet you accordingly (goodbye). Open the door, go out and come back in. Ask the pupils take your place and repeat the activities. ( I )

 

· Put up the flash cards on the board. Point to Lilly and say Lilly. The pupils repeat collectively and individually. Follow the same procedure and present the rest of characters\Liam, Charlie, Nanny, Rose\

 

· Pupil`s book open. Play the CD. The pupils listen and point to the characters. . ( I )

Set the scene by asking the pupils questions about what they can see in the pictures. play the CD and ask the pupils to listen and follow in their books

End 5 mins

Ending the lesson:

Refer the pupil to the words. Point to and read the word hello. Ask the pupils to colour it in using any colours they like.

Repeat with the word goodbye.

Then in pairs act out similar exchanges.
