Globalization is not a monolithic force but an evolving set of consequences - some good, some bad and some unintended. It is the new reality. John B. Larson PARAGRAPH STRUCTURE
People all over the world become closer than ever before. Services and goods that appear in our world will be immediately promoted in the others. International communication and infrastructure of many countries go to the limits its boundaries. In last few years’ people hear more and more about phenomenon called globalization. But what we can understand under this notion? Globalization can be defined as the ongoing global trend toward the free flow of goods and services and the creation of a world economy. This phenomenon affects our environment, culture and economic development in societies around the world. While it providesa great number of advantages to society, also it brings both disadvantages to them. Since it's argued for the greater good, it has become one of the most heated discussions in international business. One of the most beneficial advantages that have resulted from globalization is the tremendous increase in the speed of communication. The prime example would be the Internet. It’s a global medium tool whichinstantaneously provides different types of material throughout the world. Since this information shared worldwide, everyone with access to the Internet can take full advantage of it. Globalization also provides for cell phone companies newfangled opportunities across the globe as an indicative force for the new development. In addition to boosting the economy, globalization affects the environment as well. Such global agreements as the North American Free Trade Act, and organizations including the European Union promote environmental coordination’s throughout their respective regions. In creating a world economy, global environmental standards can be established. However, we cannot deny the negative effects which have derived from globalization. One crucial social aspect is the risk and danger of epidemic diseases which can easily be spread around the world. This is evidenced in the recent bird’s flu disease which has infected most Asian countries over a short period of time.
Taking everything into consideration, it is hard to say if globalization has more advantages then disadvantages. In my opinion, pros and cons equilibrate. Globalization is about progress in new technology and productive potential but it destroys people’s nationalities and make them multi-ethnic. It would be unreasonable to think that globalization could be stopped. Instead of trying to benefit everyone, globalization should work to benefit everyone more equally. I like to reiterate that globalization is inevitable and we must urge individuals to use a more balanced approach by taking the appropriate steps to deal with matters relating to the international industrial and financial business structure of the world.
