My town

I live in Kursk. This is my home town. It is situated in the centre of Europeanpart of the Russian Federation. The population of Kursk region is 452 thousand people.

My town is old, it is not very big, but it is very beautiful. There are museums, galleries, beautiful churches, theatres in the town.

It is also full of wonderful parks and green zones.

A lot of world-famous people were born here.

They are the composer Georgi Sviridov, the writers Arkadij Gaidar, Konstantin Vorobyov, Evgenei Nosov, the architect Vyacheslav Klykov, the artist Aleksandr Deineka and others.

Kursk is famous for its nightingales.
