Checking up the homework

How do you think what theme we have for today? Teacher asks the learners to identify today’s theme using interactive slides. Teacher introduces lesson objectives to the learners.

Middle (of the lesson)

Presentation: Teacher presents grammar The present simple/ present continuous tenses using Grammar spot table: am/is/are+v1ing/ v1 do/does  

P) Interviewing and Report: Learners find out their partner. Ask the questions and make notes. Then tell another classmate about their partner. Ex-4 b), c) p-7 S.b.

P) Reading and Grammar: Learners are given a worksheet with Yambol’s list of plans for Sunday. Learner completes his blog using going to and phrases from the list. A. b. ex-3,4 p-6

Relaxation: Learners close their eyes and listen to their another favourite music for 1-2 minutes

G) Differentiated tasks

Task #1 Reading and writing: Learners read and discuss Yerbol’s blog and write a new page for him. Use the ideas in the box ex-8-9 p-5 Activity book

Task #2 Check your English: Learners choose the correct words from the box to complete this email from Gavin. Ex-7 p-7 S. b.

Task #3 Learners match the new words with the definitions Ex-4 p-4 A.b.

Speaking: Play the game with your partner. Write five times and five plans on a piece of paper. Exchange the paper with your partner. Now test your partner. Can you remember their plans?

Reflection Self-assessment table

Teacher asks learners to look at lesson objectives they set at the beginning of the lesson and think and say what they did well in the lesson and what needs improvement.
