THE FINAL EXAM FORMAT ( 2 – pages)

Your Final exam will consist of two parts: written and oral

Part 1 - written

a - Linguistics O.А.Журавлева -оценка максимум 10 points = 5

b- Stylistics Ю.Г. Седелкина,- оценка максимум 10 points = 5

Part 2 - oral

Oral Communication

Consists of two parts as well: pre-exam session and examination itself

Pre-Exam Session

April, 24 – Group 37 –on the scheduled lesson

April, 30 – Group 38, 39 – on the scheduled lesson

You will have to do the following

- display your Personal Vocabulary Copybook – the words on Units 10,11,12 -Max 5

- answer a paragraph learnt by heart without pronunciation mistakes - Max 4 (one mistake – minus 1 point)

- a Card – the Card of Extra Practice 1- 12 (1-grammar. 1 vocabulary, 1 -key language task) – Maх 6

Total: 15 points

Examination

May, 14 -Group 37

May, 15 – Group 38, 39

The Procedure for online format

You arrive to the virtual Meeting Room at zoom.us following the link or IDs send to the group mail or to your monitor. ( Group 37 – Цин Даньлунь; Group 38,39 – Лю Цзяо)

At the time agreed upon (see the list or arrival), tell the Examiner a number from 1 to 12 and receive your card in zoom- chat.

After this you are given 15 min to prepare the Text Summary.

Please, mind! You prepare with your mike and camera switched on.

As soon as you are ready, you tell the Examiner about it (Not more than 15 min)

After this you say: “ I am ready” and Examination starts.

You tell in to the camera:

- your name

- the number of the paper

- the title of the text

Then you retell the text ( not less than 3-4 min, if more the Examiner will tell you Max 7

After this your supposed to answer 2-3 questions which the Examiner will ask you Max 8

Total : 15 points

TOTAL for the whole PART 3 – 30 POINTS

30 -27 – Excellent

26- 20 – Good

19 – 16 – Satisfactory

Less - Failure

All the Examination Mark is build on three Assessments:

- linguistics

- stylistics

- oral communication
