Battleships game

GAME RULES

1.- The game can be played in pairs or teams of two or three people each. Each player or team gets a worksheet.

2.- Each player or team has to place their ships in their first grid, in horizontal or vertical position, and there must be at least one empty square all around every ship (they can’t touch).

3.- The first player or team asks a question to see if there is a ship in a square, following the model(s) in the examples.

4.- If the question is not correct, they miss a turn. If there is a dispute, the teacher acts as the referee.

5.- If there is a ship in the square the question refers to, they score a hit. The player or team who has been hit answers "Yes, there is", or "Yes, there are", or "Yes, it is", or "Yes, they are", as appropriate.

6.- After a hit, the player or team shooting gets another turn.

7.- You have to hit all the squares occupied by a ship before you can sink it.

8.- The winner is the player or team who can sink all the enemies’ ships ─ or the one who has sunk more when the bell rings!
