Any place is good for Mrs Fisher. True False

Name: Class: Date:

Reading Comprehension:  Not Mrs.Fisher!

Read the story carefully, then complete the tasks that follow:

It was my day off and thought of going into town to buy a new pair of shoes and see what I could buy for my mother’s birthday. As I parked my car in the car park, I saw Mrs. Fisher parking her car too. I quickly left the car park and crossed the road to avoid talking to her, but she saw me and came running towards me. I could not pretend that I had not seen her, so I reluctantly waved to her. I never enjoy meeting Mrs Fisher, because she never has anything to do. No matter what you have planned for that day, she always insists on coming along with you. My brain was buzzing trying to find an excuse to put her off following me around all morning. 'Hello, Mrs. Fisher,' I said. 'Fancy bumping into you!' 'Hello, Natasha,' Mrs. Fisher answered. 'I was just thinking what I was going to do this morning. You are not busy, are you?' 'No, not at all,' I answered. 'I'm going to. . .' 'Would you mind if I came with you?' she asked, before I had finished speaking. 'Not at all,' I lied, 'but I'm going to the dentist.' 'Great! Then I'll keep you company,' she answered. 'There's always someone to chat to and plenty to read in the waiting room’! ‘What time is your appointment?’.
