The Bolshoi Theater - the temple (храм) of Russian culture.
In downtown Moscow on a beautiful square there is the main temple of Russia's culture - the Bolshoi Theater. The pride of all Russia - Bolshoi Theater - is one of the world’s biggest opera and ballet theaters. It is hard to overestimate (переоценить) the importance of the Bolshoi Theater for Russia. You can only enjoy its immortal (бессмертные) creations and to admire its magnificent building, which is also an outstanding (выдающийся) example of Russian architecture.
The Bolshoi Theater in Moscow is one of the best theater buildings in the world. Five-tier house is renowned (прославленный, известный) for its size and excellent acoustics. It is decorated with gilded stucco (позолоченная лепнина), murals (фрески) on the ceiling, and huge (огромный) tiered (многоуровневый) crystal chandelier (люстра). The height of the house is 21 meters, its length - 25 meters, width - 26 meters. It seats 2,153 spectators. In front of the Bolshoi Theater there is the square with a fountain.
And yet, the chronology of the Bolshoi Theater begins in 1776. Therefore, in 2006 the 230th anniversary of Russia's Bolshoi Theater was celebrated.
The Bolshoi is by right called the pride of Russian culture. Throughout its existence, it was the center of attraction of the best Russian opera and ballet. The stage of this theater was first to see many outstanding works of Russian composers; its company consists of the most famous local singers, dancers, conductors, directors, and choreographers.
Shakespeare's Globe Theatre

The Globe, which opened in 1997, is a reconstruction of an open-air theatre designed in 1599. The season normally runs from May to October and sometimes over the Christmas period. Tours of the theatre and an exhibition is also available.
The history of the famous theatre was completed in three stages: in 1599 on the funds actors Lord Chamberlain's Men (фонда актеров-мужчин Лорда-Камергера), which belonged to William Shakespeare, the first building was built of globe theatre, which was destroyed by fire on June 29, 1613. A year later, in June 1614 (when Shakespeare had already left London in Stratford), the theater building was restored, and lasted until 1642. And, finally, in 1997 opened the modern building of the theatre «Globus», recreated by the descriptions and parts of the Foundation (воссозданное по описаниям и частям фундамента) found during archeological excavations (найденными во время археологических раскопок). However, the new building is situated 200 meters from the place where the original location of the theater.
The Shakespeare's Globe is also home to a second theatre - it has named its new 340 seat Indoor Jacobean Theatre The Sam Wanamaker Theatre, named after the organisation's founder (учредитель, основатель) , American actor and director Sam Wanamaker. Performances have been held inside the theatre since January 2014, and allow Shakespeare's Globe to present plays throughout the year. The theatre has two tiers (уровни) of galleried seating and a pit seating area and is predominantly (главным образом) lit (освещается) by candles (свечами).
