Task 3. Imagine that these are photos from your photo album. Choose one

photo to present to your friend.

You will have to start speaking in 1.5 minutes and will speak for not more

than 2 minutes (12–15 sentences). In your talk remember to speak about:

• where and when the photo was taken

• what/who is in the photo

• what is happening

• why you keep the photo in your album

• why you decided to show the picture to your friend

You have to talk continuously, starting with: I’ve chosen photo number …

I’ve chosen photo number 3.

1) As you know, I’m fond of collecting photos. 2) At the moment I’d like to show you my favourite one.

· 3) It was taken in our house when we were celebrating New Year’s Day. 4) Ten years have passed since then.

· 5) In the foreground you can see my dad and me and in the background there is our beautifully decorated New Year’s tree.

· 6) We are sitting in our cosy living-room smiling at each other. 7) I’m holding my long-awaited present. 8) My family is going to have a party and we are waiting for our guests. 9) Meanwhile, my mum is taking some photos.

· 10) I keep this picture in my album to have in memory that moment when I was so glad and happy because I got my first mobile phone which I had really dreamt of. 11) Moreover, the photo depicts the warm atmosphere in our house.

· 12) Do you want to know why I’ve decided to show this picture to you? 13) Oh, it always cheers me up when I feel down.14) I can’t help smiling when I look at it.

15) In short, I’d like to say that my hobby is the best one because it helps me to relax and feel happy.
