1. The main danger of electricity is a lack of special sense organs for detection of electric current on distance. The electric current has no smell, taste and colour. It is impossible to feel it without special devices, whether it is energized or not. So people often do not realise available danger and do not accept necessary protective measures. Using household appliances in life, we should follow the warning notes. Let's read some of them and try to guess what it refers.

Действие электрического тока на организм человека. Опасность электрического тока состоит в том, что у человека нет специальных органов чувств для обнаружения на расстоянии электрического тока. Электрический ток не имеет запаха, вкуса и цвета. Невозможно без специальных приборов почувствовать, находится ли данная часть электроустановки под напряжением или нет. Это приводит к тому, что люди часто не осознают реально имеющейся опасности и не принимают необходимых защитных мер. Используя бытовые приборы в быту, мы должны руководствоваться правилами эксплуатации. Давайте ознакомимся с некоторыми из них и попробуем догадаться, к какому электроприбору они относятся.

2. To prevent danger situations we should follow the warning notes of electrical devices. Let us read them and match with the pictures.

Ребята, чтобы предотвратить опасность нам необходимо следовать правилам эксплуатации бытовых приборов. Давайте прочитаем и соотнесем с картинкой.

Warning notes

Avoid touching the hot metal parts of the unit.

-Slices of bread in the unit may burn. For this reason, do not use the unit near flammable (воспламеняющийся) objects.

-Do not operate the unit lying on its side — this could cause a fire!

-Place the appliance in a clear space to allow the necessary air to circulate.

-Unplug (отключить от сети) the unit before filling it with water.

-When you finish the work, unplug the unit and empty out (вылейте) any remaining water in tank.

-Avoid any contacts with the steam jet (струя пара) to prevent burns.

-Do not use the unit if you have wet hands or bare (босые) feet.

-Never move the unit while it is in use.

-Unplug the unit or remove it from its base (cordless model) when filling it or cleaning after use.

-Fit the appropriate plug according to the instructions.
